EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- Jurors Wednesday found that an officer in El Cajon acted reasonably when he fatally shot Ugandan Immigrant Alfred Olango. The jury found Richard Gonsalves' actions not negligent 12-0. On September 27, 2016, Olango’s sister called 911 to report that her 38-year-old brother was displaying erratic behavior and walking out into traffic. Two officers arrived and spotted Olango in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on the 800 block of Broadway, ordering him to remove his hands from his pockets. Olango pulled something out of his pocket officers believed was a gun and, according to police, he assumed “what appeared to be a shooting stance” and made some kind of movement. According to police, the incident began unfolding before 1 p.m. near the intersection of Jamacha Road and Dorothy Street. Police told 10News the standoff was sparked due to a domestic incident at The Grove apartments.Police could be seen blocking off the street as officers stood near their patrol cars in the rain. Neighbors watched in awe from across the street."We heard the cops say that he made a comment saying he was going to burn the apartment down," said Christina Messenger. The man shattered the glass of the windows several times from the inside the first floor unit. At one point, he poked his head out to yell at officers. "You just don’t know whats going on in there," said Sherry Quijada. "You don’t know whether hes gonna pull a gun out and start shooting. EL CAJON (CNS and KGTV) - An East County man who admitted molesting an underage girl faces up to 10 years in state prison when he's sentenced March 27, prosecutors said.Shaun Crocker, 34, pleaded guilty Thursday at the El Cajon courthouse to two felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child for touching the unidentified victim, who was under the age of 14, inappropriately between September and November 2018.Prosecutors did not disclose the girl's exact age, nor would they confirm whether the defendant was related to sex offender Matthew Hedge, whose case drew headlines years after his conviction due to a judge's controversial decision to lift Hedge's sexually violent predator status and release him from custody without supervision.RELATED: Son of sex offender suspected of child molestation in San Diego CountyFollowing Crocker's arrest last year, a source told 10News that Crocker is Hedge's son.Hedge pleaded guilty in 1989 to molesting four children in the San Diego area and served 12 years in prison.
