A St. Louis couple who waved guns at peaceful protesters near their property earlier this year will speak in support of President Donald Trump next week at the Republican National Convention, The Washington Post, NPR and CNN report.The couple will reportedly deliver remarks remotely, as in-person portions of the convention have been canceled.Mark and Patricia McCloskey gained national attention in late June as Black Lives Matter protesters marched toward the home of St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson. Krewson and the McCloskeys live in a private, gated community.Though the protesters were peaceful and staying away from the McCloskey's mansion, the couple emerged from their homes with firearms and ordered protesters to leave.Various social media videos show Patricia McCloskey pointing a small handgun at protesters. Mark McCloskey carried a long gun.In July, the couple was charged with unlawful use of a weapon for waving the guns in a "threatening" manner. Both have maintained their innocence, saying they were afraid for their lives and were simply protecting themselves.The White House has previously expressed support for the couple. Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in July that the charges against the McCloskeys were "absurd." Missouri Gov. A man who held up a "Trump 2020" sign while riding Splash Mountain at Disney World says he has been banned from the park for life.Dion Cini of New York City donned a "Make America Great Again" visor and strategically held up a "Trump 2020" banner so it would show up in the on-ride photos that are available for purchase near the exit of Splash Mountain.NBC News reports that Cini was later told that he has been permanently prevented from visiting its parks.Disney told NBC that it wasn't the content of Cini's sign that resulted in the ban but the fact that he held up a sign "to incite a crowd."Disney World's park rules state that "unauthorized events, demonstrations or speeches, or the usage of any flag, banner or sign for commercial purposes, or to incite a crowd" as among its prohibited activities.Cini posted a picture of his ride photo, along with what appears to be a ticket documenting his ban from the parks on FacebookAlex Hider is a writer for the E.W. A runner in Sunday's London Marathon who appeared on the BBC television show "Masterchef: The Professionals" collapsed during the race and later died, according to the event organizers.Matt Campbell, 29, collapsed after running 22.5 miles of the 26.2-mile course, the London Marathon organization said in a statement. Despite receiving immediate medical treatment, Campbell died later at a hospital. The cause of death has not yet been established.The organizers offered their "sincere condolences to Matt's family and friends," adding that the family has asked for privacy.Campbell's family paid tribute to an "inspirational son and brother," who was an avid marathon runner. He also was a professional chef who appeared on the competitive cooking show "Masterchef: The Professionals" in 2017.He was running the London Marathon to raise money for The Brathay Trust, which inspires vulnerable people to make positive changes in their lives, and in memory of his father, who died in 2016. She came to the US more than two decades ago as a refugee.
