A 73-year-old hiker was rescued Saturday after spending seven days in the wilderness, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Edmo Luna said.Eugene Jo went missing June 22 after becoming separated from a hiking group near Mount Waterman in the San Gabriel Mountains of the Angeles National Forest, according to a Twitter post from the Montrose Search and Rescue Team.Jo was discovered Saturday morning around 11 a.m. Pacific time, according to the search and rescue team. Luna said the man was found "down a ravine in the Devil's Canyon area, quite a few miles away from the trail of the original hike."He had not eaten in at least five days and was drinking water out of Devils Canyon Creek, the search team's post said.The hiker suffered no traumatic injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital for further evaluation, according to Luna. A Halloween display featuring President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama put up outside of a Fowlerville, Michigan, auto shop has drawn concern and even death threats to the owner. The original display was put up three weeks ago outside of Quality Coatings on Carr Street. It was a scarecrow with Trump’s facemask holding a rope and Obama’s facemask at the bottom of the rope. Under the Trump scarecrow foot was a Hillary Clinton mask. Just a few days ago, the auto shop owner took down the rope and Obama’s head and placed a sash on the Trump scarecrow that says, “PC Police.” A post on social media displaying the original decorations went viral, with many claiming the rope looked like a noose. The shop owner, who refused to go on camera, says it was not meant to be racist, rather the rope was meant to look like a spine and a move from the game Mortal Kombat. "I feel like it was supposed to be a noose and he says there’s no winners, yet who’s holding Obama's head?," said Ashley Tyler who lives near the display. A Fordham University student was critically injured Sunday after falling from a clock tower, according to a statement from the New York university.The student was climbing the tower about 3 a.m. Sunday when the fall occurred. The student, a senior, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, and the student's family was notified.According to the university, the student climbed the clock tower with some friends. The tower is off limits to students and university officials are investigating how the students gained access to the tower.The tower is the central part of Keating Hall on the university's Rose Hill campus in the Bronx. Built in the 1930s, the building's Gothic architecture has featured in several movies, including scenes in "The Exorcist" and "A Beautiful Mind." A gender discrimination lawsuit filed by members of the US women's soccer team against the US Soccer Federation has been scheduled for trial starting May 5, a spokeswoman for the players said."We are pleased with the expeditious schedule that has been set by the court and we are eager to move forward this case," Molly Levinson, spokeswoman for the players, said Tuesday.
