Two students were injured after a gun accidentally discharged at a school in Fulton County, Georgia on Thursday.Police received reports of a loud pop coming from a classroom at Banneker High School just before 3:30 p.m.According to a spokesperson with Fulton County Schools, a bullet hit a female student in the ankle, and also grazed another student. Both students were treated for minor injuries, according to the spokesperson.Officials say officers searched the classroom and found a low-caliber handgun hidden in a box. It's believed the weapon was brought on school property in a book bag by a student, according to the school spokesperson.The spokesperson added that "the investigation into this incident is ongoing and the [Fulton County Schools Police Department] plans to file criminal charges against everyone involved in this incident in accordance with District policy."Three students will face charges in the incident. One student is being charged with one count possession of a weapon and one count of a weapon on campus. (KGTV) — Sheriff's deputies asked the public for help Wednesday to locate an East County man who disappeared from an assisted living facility.SDSO says 74-year-old Stan Neff was last seen just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the facility in the 8900 block of Troy Street in Spring Valley. He may have walked out through a side door.Neff has dementia and tires easily, deputies say. He is described as a white male, weighing about 140 pounds, 5-foot 8-inches tall, and with gray hair. Neff was last seen wearing a blue plaid button-up shirt or white t-shirt, khaki pants, and one loafer shoe and one sandal. Two people have been killed in an explosion at a Veteran's Affair hospital in Connecticut, according to WTNH-TV and The New Haven Register.A VA spokesperson told WTNH that the explosion at the West Haven hospital was caused by a steam valve. The explosion occurred in a building that was not housing patients. Those who were killed were not patients at the hospital.According to The Associated Press, state and federal investigators are responding to the incident.
