A Philadelphia police officer who was seen on video pulling down the masks of protesters and spraying chemical irritants in their faces was charged Wednesday with simple assault, reckless endangerment, official oppression, and possession of an instrument of crime, the Philadelphia Inquirer and CNN report.Officer Richard P. A video taken at a gas station shows an Alabama woman fleeing after escaping captivity inside a vehicle's trunk.Police said the woman had been kidnapped and was able to get out when her captor stopped to fill up the tank. The suspect, Timothy Wyatt, had broken into her home Oct. 31 and abducted her.After the woman was able to get out of the vehicle, she ran inside for help. A second report in as many days is predicting an “extremely active” hurricane season.The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released their annual August update for the Atlantic hurricane season Thursday. They are predicting 19 to 25 named storms, where 7 to 11 of them become hurricanes and 3 to 6 of those become major hurricanes with winds of 111mph or greater.Hurricane season ends November 30.There have already been nine named storms in 2020, the earliest that has happened since historical records began. A teen missing for more than a year after witnessing a murder has been found alive in an Ohio basement, ABC Dayton affiliate WKEF reports.Police believe Jacob Caldwell, 15, ran away from his grandparents, who were granted temporary custody of him and his brothers, after Jacob witnessed his father being shot and killed. Jacob's mother and her boyfriend are among those who have been charged with murder in connection with the slaying. Jacob was last seen on Aug. 21 2017, in front of a Walmart in Sugar Creek Township, located in Green County, near Dayton. 585
