SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KGTV) -- A San Diego Couple is breaking the internet after getting married at a Costco in Mission Valley Thursday. Margot Schein and Julian Parris told 10News they made the decision to get married at Costco because, after meeting on a dating app, they decided to have their first date at the store. According to Schein, the couple decided to wed at Costco on their three-year anniversary. The wedding included a custom-made cake from the store, an archway and pallets to hold up bouquets of flowers. Staff at the store even took the time to set up chairs for the event as well as decorate a portion of the Costco with rose petals. “I feel like we have a whole new Costco family,” Margot said. 720

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KGTV) -- A fishing shop in Kearny Mesa was burglarized early Sunday morning. The break-in was caught on the San Diego Tackle Traders' surveillance cameras just before 4:30 a.m. The video shows two suspects, wearing masks and gloves, getting into the shop using a crowbar. The two people can be seen walking into the business, on Convoy Court, with a cooler and some type of container, heading towards the back of the shop. The owners of San Diego Tackle Traders say the suspects got away with several fishing reels and rods, a total value of ,000 to 0,00. The owners tell 10News this is a big blow to their small business. They say they work by appointment only and don't advertise their address online because of the value of the items they sell. The owners are now hoping people will keep an eye out for anyone trying to sell brand new fishing equipment. Anyone with information is asked to call the San Diego Police Department. 964

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Sixteen people are dead and hundreds are still hospitalized as the City of San Diego continues to battle a Hepatitis A. The majority of them are homeless.Tents belonging to the homeless were back up in downtown just two days after the city sprayed down streets and sidewalks to control the outbreak. David Ross is known as "the waterman" in downtown. He is an advocate for the homeless and regularly passes out water to those living on the street. Right now, the homeless don't have a place to wash their hands or go to the bathroom. SAN DIEGO (KGTV)-- Thousands of members of the LGBTQ Community and their allies lined the streets of Hillcrest to celebrate the San Diego Pride Parade Saturday morning. More than 200 floats were on display at this year's event. We asked the crowd, "What does "Pride" mean to you?""It means finally being able to live out and proud.""It's the freedom to celebrate who we are.""Love our neighbor as ourselves and love God!"Some have been coming to the San Diego Pride Parade for decades. "Oh my gosh, she's been 26 years of marching in pride with me," Dana Harwood said of her mother. "...And I love my lesbian daughter!" her mother, Bobbi said. For others, this year's parade is their debut to the world. "Fours months ago, I started my transition," Grace McBride said. "I am just so happy now that I came out to be authentic."For 55 years, people called her Dale. But today, she is proudly Grace."Dale was struggling. Dale was a Marine. "We just like to support her and help her succeed in life."Like the thousands of people at the parade, Alexis is proud. She is celebrating, not hiding her Pride. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) Thousands of homes braced for rotating outages Monday, but the outages were ultimately averted.The California Independent System Operator, which manages high voltage power transmission, had warned San Diego Gas and Electric and other utilities that it was very likely they would be ordered to implement rotating outages Monday.However, the outages were never ordered partly because local residents and businesses heeded the call to cut back on energy usage.SDG&E, which takes its cues from CAISO for rotating outages, says the rolling blackouts are still possible throughout the state if CAISO isn’t able to maintain a balance between energy demand and supply during the heatwave.A Flex Alert is currently in place through Wednesday.
