SOLD IN AMERICA: The BuyersAt Dennis Hof's Moonlite BunnyRanch in Nevada, paid sex is legal. Tiara Tae, an employee there, said she was a dancer prior to working for Hof, and that she was propositioned for sex every night as a dancer.Tae never thought she's be working in the legal sex industry and she used to talk down on it, she said. Her mindset has changed since looking into it and finding out that Hof's place runs as an orderly business, including testing for sexually transmitted diseases among the employees and required background checks. Each time a customer shows up at the BunnyRanch, the women who work there line up, and the customer selects one with which to have sex."I got picked, like, my first time and I was like, I'm scared," Tae said. "It was good to get it off my shoulders. My first time standing in the lineup ... it is intimidating."Her first booking, or "party" as they call it at the BunnyRanch, was easy, she said."It went really smooth and it was what I thought it was going to be."Tae immediately wondered what she would do with the money she brought in, including starting a retirement fund. She said she expects to have a half-a-million dollars saved in just a few years."I'm not going to lie, I'm expensive," she said. Watch the video or click on the links provided above to learn more from the "Sold in America" series, and hear from people on all sides of the issue. 1463

Synthetic cannabinoids are unsafe, Dr. Nirav Shah, director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, said in the statement."They can contain a variety of chemicals, and users often don't know what those are, such as rat poison," he said. "Despite the perception that synthetic cannabinoids are a safe alternative to marijuana, they can cause very severe illness."Though many of the recent cases were tied to synthetic cannabinoid products in the Chicago area, contaminated products could be in counties statewide, the Department of Public Health noted.Ten of the cases were in Chicago, four were in Cook County, seven were in Peoria County, and 12 were in Tazewell County. The counties of DuPage, Kane, McLean and Will all had one each, and another county is under investigation for one case. The death that had been reported was the first seen in Chicago related to fake weed, Arnold said."There could be additional deaths coming; it is difficult to say," she added. "We're doing whatever we can with regards to outreach to notify any who may be impacted by this outbreak." 1077

Support for those directly impacted has swelled in the massacre's wake. An online fundraiser for the synagogue had raised 5,000 toward its million goal by Tuesday morning.Sports fans will share a moment of silence for the victims Tuesday when the Pittsburgh Penguins take on the New York Islanders at the PPG Paints Arena. The hockey team will also wear "Stronger Than Hate" patches on their uniforms and hold a collection at the game to benefit victims and victims' families.Outreach efforts also have extended to first responders. Those injured in the shooting include police officers, two of whom remain hospitalized. The walls of the Zone 4 police station, a few blocks from the Tree of Life synagogue, were covered in handwritten notes from residents after the shooting, the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department said Monday in a series of Twitter posts. People also came by to "deliver food and hugs for the officers," the department said.More than 500 people from different faiths, races, backgrounds and communities gathered to memorialize the victims Monday at the Westmoreland County Courthouse in Greensburg, about 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, CNN affiliate KDKA reported.Everyone must "work together to make our differences, our strengths and promote love, dignity and respect," Carlotta Paige, co-chair of the Westmoreland County Diversity Coalition, told the crowd. 1387
