President Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office on Wednesday for the first time in five days following his three-day stay in Walter Reed Medical Center. Trump was released from the hospital on Monday. On Wednesday, Trump released a video statement on Twitter to reassure Americans he is feeling well. Despite complications from the coronavirus late last week, which included a high fever and low oxygen levels, the president said that his coronavirus infection was a “blessing from God.”While the president may still be contagious from the virus, there are questions on when the president first tested positive for the virus, and when his last negative test was. Knowing when the president first contracted the virus is important as those with the virus are still considered contagious 10 days after the onset of the virus, according to the CDC.“I wasn’t feeling so hot,” Trump said. “And within a very short period of time, they gave me Regneron… It was like unbelievable.”The Regeneron treatment is formally known as "REGN-COV2," and is an experimental drug that has only been trialed on 275 patients before the president’s infection. The treatment is a combination of two monoclonal and was designed specifically to block infectivity of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, the company said. REGN-COV2 is still early in its trial process to test for efficacy and side effects. “I want everyone to get the same treatment as your president, because I feel great,” Trump said. “I feel like perfect. I think this was a blessing from God that I got it.”Trump went on to blame China for the spread of the virus, and said he wanted to make treatments free to Americans. 1682
POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A rope is being blamed for December’s weeklong boil water advisory in Poway, according to a newly-released report. The report says a surge in storm water caused a backflow in the system. A rope stuck inside a gate designed to keep water out of the reservoir allowed the storm water to seep into the area. As a result of the incident, the affected section of the reservoir had to be disinfected and refilled. RELATED: Inspection found 12 flaws in Poway's water delivery systemA boil water was issued November 30 and canceled December 6 as a result of the contamination. The advisory was issued after residents reported brownish water coming from their faucets on November 29. The report also goes into detail about what is being done as a result of the advisory. Some of the items listed include replacing gaskets on the gate door and overflow structure and removing debris at the end of storm drain lines. Click here to read the full report. 973
PRESCOTT, Ariz. — Human body parts that authorities say may have been intended for medical research were found over the weekend in northern Arizona.According to a statement released Sunday by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified about the remains near Prescott on Saturday and an examination confirmed they were human.A second site with additional body parts was discovered Sunday. The sheriff’s office says it is treating the investigation as a homicide, but the Yavapai County medical examiner says it appears the remains from both sites are from a medical institution and were intended for use in the educational and research field. The sheriff’s office described abandoning remains as a serious crime and said it intends to find “those culpable for such disrespect shown in the cavalier way the remains were discarded.”Sheriff Scott Mascher and Sheriff-Elect David Rhodes issued statements, saying they’ll work together to assure that whatever resources necessary are available to determine those responsible are found and prosecuted.“It is not much that could surprise me anymore, but this news makes me sick, especially for the families of those whose remains were found. I have every assurance the persons responsible will be caught,” said Mascher.“This is a bizarre and grisly case that has more questions than answers at this time,” said Rhodes. “I have confidence we will get those answers soon and find those responsible"If anyone has information on this investigation or may be aware of persons who have discarded human remains at either site or elsewhere, you are urged to call the Sheriff’s Office immediately at 928-771-3260. 1669
