Stormy Daniels was "truthful about having unprotected vaginal intercourse with Donald Trump in July 2006," according to a polygraph test report from 2011.The report states that the "probability of deception was measured to be less than 1%." It was given to CNN by Michael Avenatti, Daniels' attorney and contains three pertinent questions: "Around July 2006, did you have vaginal intercourse with Donald Trump?," "Around July 2006, did you have unprotected sex with Donald Trump?" and "Did Trump say you would get on 'The Apprentice?'"Daniels replied yes to all three questions. The first two were analyzed to be truthful, the third question was "inconclusive" according to the polygraph examiner Ronald Slay.Polygraphs are generally inadmissible in court. The polygraph was performed at the request of Bauer Publishing, which owns Life&Style and InTouch magazines, according to the reporter who interviewed Daniels in 2011. Reporter Jordi Lippe-McGraw initially interviewed Daniels for Life & Style magazine. The interview was not published at the time, but Bauer Publishing released it in InTouch magazine earlier this year.Lippe-McGraw told CNN on Tuesday that Daniels passed the test in a broader sense. "Based off of the interview, we had her take the polygraph test to confirm the details of what she was telling us. There wasn't much in the way of physical evidence, per se," Lippe-McGraw said, adding that the big-picture question they wanted to confirm was that the affair happened, and that Daniels passed. Lippe-McGraw said that Daniels told her she had unprotected sex with Trump, because Daniels is allergic to latex and didn't have condoms at the time.Earlier Tuesday, Avenatti tweeted out a photograph of Daniels being administered the test. The Wall Street Journal first released the details of the polygraph questions and answers. 1871

Student loans borrowers are still struggling right now, even with payments on federal loans suspended.Nearly half of borrowers in a new survey from personal finance site Student Loan Hero have lost income during the pandemic. About 34% have had their pay or hours cuts and more than one in three borrowers are experiencing food insecurity.Currently, federal student borrowers have placed in an administrative forbearance, which allows them to temporarily stop making their monthly loan payment. The suspension of payments will last until Sept. 30, 2020, but they can still make payments if they choose. About two months before the pause on federal student loan payments is scheduled to end, advocates are warning we're not ready.“Back in March, when the CARES Act was passed, I think September 30 made a lot of sense at that point. We were hopeful that by September we'd have the virus under control, that we'd be getting back to normal, that things would be reopening,” said Sam Gilford, Director of External Affairs at the nonprofit Student Defense. “But of course, here we are in July and it's clear that's not the case.”Student Defense has been representing students who had their wages garnished months after the CARES Act said that's not allowed.Just last week, the Department of Education said it's still happening to thousands of borrowers. The organization stresses that now is the time to be your own best advocate.“Many people will be eligible for what's called 'income-based repayment,' which is a repayment plan where your payment varies based on your income and if your income drops to certain level, your payment will drop to zero,” said Gilford. “That can be a really good option for a lot of people, but it's something that takes time to get started so don't wait until October 1.”Gilford says to watch out if you contact the company in charge of your student loans and they recommend forbearance instead of income-based repayment. You get a temporary pause on your payments, but interest keeps growing so your loan is getting bigger. There's another reason not to wait to contact your servicer.Student Defense says even in good times, servicers struggle to keep up with the volume of requests and calls from borrowers. So, it's likely they'll be overwhelmed if the pause on payments lifts at the end of September. The Department of Education is expected to start communicating with borrowers next month about their loan payments getting ready to start again.Click here to learn more about your student loans and read frequently asked questions. 2567

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he may be willing to buy one of the plants General Motors is planning to close if the automaker is willing to sell the property to him."It's possible that we would be interested. Surveillance video was released Wednesday from security cameras outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on the day a gunman killed 17 people. The video's expected July 27 release was delayed when the Broward County School Board requested a review by the state's highest court. On Wednesday, the state Supreme Court said no further appeals would be considered. The video only shows footage from exterior cameras on campus, not from inside the school building where former student Nikolas Cruz opened fire on students and faculty February 14.The heavily-edited and blurred footage depicts the chaotic moments after the shooting, with students and staff being directed away from the scene and law enforcement officers at one point opening a gate and entering a school building with their guns drawn. 807
