Following a joint bilateral meeting on Post Disaster Reconstruction Plan held at Nepal's Finance Ministry here in Singhadurbar this morning, Nepal and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect.

For his part, Lee Hsien Loong said China-Singapore cooperation has been highly effective, and expressed hope that the two countries maintain the good momentum of bilateral ties and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

The statement said a press center will be set up in Beijing during the celebrations to provide information services for domestic and overseas reporters.

China is also willing to communicate more with PNG on such major issues as sustainable development and climate change and jointly safeguard the interests of developing nations, the president said.

China's position stands on a solid international legal base and will not change, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying in a press release.
