It’s been a month since both of you went home to Paradise to be with Jesus. I spend most of my time imagining what both of you are seeing and experiencing. As my tears fall, I remind myself of what the apostle Paul said in first Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV “Brothers and sisters we do not want you to be on uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him”. For me this is not the end but only a brief interruption. One day soon we will have a magnificent reunion and all of us will be with the Lord forever. Until then I will press on to the ultimate goal of spending eternity in Heaven. My family and I would like to thank everyone across this country who has prayed for us and sent words of encouragement our way. INDIANAPOLIS — A homeless man was rescued from the back of a garbage truck near Indianapolis early Thursday.According to a report from the Decatur Township Fire Department, rescue crews were called shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday for an injured person.When they arrived, firefighters found an injured person inside the back of a garbage truck.Firefighters said the driver of the trash truck told them he had made two previous stops along Kentucky Avenue, reached his third stop and started the compactor without knowing someone was in the back. The driver told firefighters he heard a man yelling and immediately stopped the compactor and called 911.Firefighters said the man was extricated from the back of the garbage truck within 30 minutes and was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.According to firefighters, the man in the back of the garbage truck told rescue crews he was in the dumpster to stay warm because he was homeless. A police body-camera recording released Wednesday shed more light on the house party that earned six Miami University students citations for violating COVID-19 health orders over Labor Day weekend.There were 20 people inside the house on Saturday afternoon, when an Oxford police officer arrived to break up the party. In the recording, he approaches a group of young men sitting outside and asks to speak to someone who lives in the house.One steps forward and admits he knows he’s broken the state’s rule against gatherings larger than 10 people.The officer takes his ID, runs it through a police database and discovers that its owner had tested positive for COVID-19.This exchange follows:Officer: I’ve never seen this before. There’s an input on the computer that you tested positive for COVID.Student: Yes.Officer: When was this?Student: This was a week ago.Officer: Are you supposed to be quarantining?Student: Yeah. That’s why I’m at my house.Officer: So you have other people here, and you’re positive for COVID?Student: I mean…Officer: You see the problem?
