The system can analyze DNA from bone fragments or other remains, then match it to genetic material provided by relatives of the missing.The technology depends on people coming forward to give a DNA sample via a cheek swab.But as of Tuesday, nearly two weeks after the start of the inferno, only about 60 people had provided samples to pop-up labs, said Annette Mattern, a spokeswoman for ANDE, a Colorado company that is donating use of the technology."We need hundreds," Mattern said. Chick-Fil-A is testing a new menu item in Arizona, and depending on how it goes, it could be rolled out to menus nationwide.Starting Monday, spicy chicken strips will be available at Chick-Fil-A restaurants in Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma, the fast-food chain said.They've been under test in Philadelphia and Texas since last year.The strips come in orders of three or four, and a choice of dipping sauce.The company said it combined their original chicken strips and spicy chicken strip sandwich to create the new menu item.The strips are seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers, hand-breaded, and cooked in refined peanut oil. CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A part-time Coronado High School basketball coach pleaded guilty today to a felony sex charge involving a 17-year-old female student.Jordan Tyler Bucklew, 34, remains out of custody on bail and is slated to be sentenced Dec. 22 following his plea to a felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.He was charged in February with a felony count of digital penetration and three misdemeanor child molestation counts, which could have had him facing up to three years in state prison if convicted, but those charges were dismissed Tuesday in light of the plea.The Coronado Police Department received a report on Jan. 31 regarding ``an inappropriate relationship'' between the part-time coach and a teenage student, and Bucklew was arrested three days later.According to the original criminal complaint, the incidents took place between December 2019 and January of this year.When Bucklew was arrested, the Coronado Unified School District issued a statement saying the district ``takes such claims very seriously. When the allegations became known, the district followed policy and protocol including cooperation with Coronado Police Department to protect the safety and security of district students and staff.''Officials with Coronado High School and the school district did not immediately respond Tuesday to inquiries regarding Bucklew's employment status. 1397

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - The Sweetwater Union High School District Monday handed out dozens of pink slips to administrators as the district deals with a million budget shortfall for the next school year. The board agreed during a meeting in Chula Vista Saturday to release up to 87 employees. Not every employee who receives a pink slip will lose their job. In a written statement, the district said the employees “may be released or reassigned from their position.” Community forums on the matter will be held at the end of the month. In September 2018, the district noticed a million dollar budget shortfall. An independent audit revealed the district was borrowing money faster than it could pay back. This fiscal year alone, the district will borrow million, in addition to the million it already owes; the money coming from Mello-Roos taxes. In December, the San Diego County Office of Education appointed a fiscal advisor with power to stay and rescind any financial decision made by the troubled district.
