He added that his role at the border was an "observer" to ensure the migrants are being processed fairly and appropriately.He said those in the caravan understand they could end up in a detention facility, and they're okay with it, "Yes because they’re they’re escaping what they feel is death and escaping what they think is a life without possibilities." 1728

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced Sunday evening measures to try and slow the growing spread of COVID-19 in her state.In a press conference Sunday evening, Whitmer and state health officials announced a "Three-Week Pause" aimed at mitigating the spread of the virus.Between Nov. 18 and Dec. 8, the state will mandate that the following operations be closed:In-person learning at high schools, colleges and universitiesTheaters, stadiums and arenasAll who are able to work from home will be required to do soDine-in restaurants and barsOrganized sports, except professional sportsBowling centers, ice skating, indoor water parksBingo halls, casinos, arcadesGroup fitness classesSeveral businesses will remain open, according to the state, including:Hair salons, barbershops and other "personal services"Gyms and pools for individual exerciseRetail storesPreschool through 8th gradeChildcarePublic transitManufacturing, construction, other work that is impossible to do remotelyThe state is also putting restrictions on private gatherings — indoor gatherings are limited to two households and 10 people, and outdoor gatherings are limited to 25 people.“In the spring, we listened to public health experts, stomped the curve, and saved thousands of lives together. LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — An autopsy report revealed more details about the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.Taylor, 26, was shot multiple times by Louisville Metro Police Department narcotics officers serving a warrant just after midnight on March 13.Her autopsy was performed on March 14 at 8 a.m. at the Bingham Building.The autopsy showed Taylor was shot in the chest, which caused hemorrhages along the wound path; the right upper abdomen, in her left forearm, in her left thigh and in her right foot. An orange and gray metal projectile was also recovered from her right heel.Following the announcement of the grand jury decision in the case on Sept. 23, Attorney General Daniel Cameron said only one of those shots was fatal.Former LMPD Det. Brett Hankison was charged for shooting 10 rounds from outside Taylor’s apartment; some of those shots ended up in adjacent units, which was why he was indicted.Two other officers, Myles Cosgrove and Jon Mattingly, were found to be justified in their use of force, according to the grand jury.Cameron said evidence showed Mattingly fired six times, and Cosgrove fired 16 shots, and added that both were justified in returning fire after being fired upon.
