(KGTV) - The Valley Fire claimed the home of a 78-year-old Jamul woman Saturday, along with many of her beloved animals.Cellphone video shot by Pat Menzies shows a thick wall of smoke over a ridge, as he drove his mother Eileen from her home, and away from the fast-moving flames of the Valley Fire on Saturday. Around 2 pm, Eileen says she had only minutes to pack a few things, grab her three dogs and get out of her home on Prairie Drive."We were afraid it was going to come fast, especially since there were no planes, helicopters and fire engines there," said Eileen.Eileen says brushfires have gotten within a half-mile of her home in the past, but this felt different."i just had a gut feeling this one was going to take me out," said Eileen.The fear turned into reality, as Eileen and her daughter discovered when they got back on the property the next day. Eileen's trailer home of 17 years was burned to the ground. All her family heirlooms and almost all her possessions were gone."I felt numb because there was nothing I could do. It's going to be tough to get back online," said Eileen.On the day she learned what happened to her home, the toughest part was her search for her animals, in various pens and cages. Her goat, duck, turkey and three of 12 peacocks, were all found dead."It was sad because they were trapped. The turkey, duck and goats were my babies, and they're not with me anymore," said Eileen.That sadness hanging over Eileen as she begins her road to recovery. She knows it will be a long one."Constantly running into new chapters in your life ... I'm 78 and starting over," said Eileen.Eileen's home was insured. Kicker Landon White left the Eastern Kentucky University football team while taking a big shot at the program on his way out of the locker room.The Madison Central grad grew disgusted with what he said have been poor, or even nonexistent, safety measures as it relates to the team and its handling of player safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.White claimed in an Instagram post that no one on the team has been tested since July 6. James Comey is embarking on a publicity tour.The former FBI director is planning a series of media appearances to promote his book, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership," starting with an ABC News interview airing Sunday evening at 10 p.m., ET. It's the first sit-down, televised interview Comey has given since he was fired by President Donald Trump last year and the first in a series of interviews he will sit for in the coming weeks. CNN's Jake Tapper is set to interview Comey on April 19. Major media outlets, including CNN, obtained copies of the book this week and quickly published reports on its scathing and unsparingly critical depictions of the President. According to those reports, Comey writes that Trump is "unethical and untethered to the truth" and compares his presidency to a "forest fire."Trump and his allies have already launched a counterattack. The President called Comey "a LEAKER & LIAR" in a pair of tweets Friday morning, describing the former FBI director as an "untruthful slime ball" and saying that Comey should be prosecuted for leaking classified information. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders joined in the criticism by tweeting a link to a video from the Republican National Committee accusing Comey of lacking credibility.Comey has indeed faced criticism from Republicans and Democrats alike -- and the release of his book gives him a high-profile platform to defend himself. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ten people were asked to quarantine after a potential COVID-19 exposure at the Kansas City Chiefs' season opener, the Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department announced Thursday.According to the department, one person who watched the game from the group's box tested positive for the virus one day after the game.The department said everyone who was around the individual was notified and have agreed to quarantine.The Chiefs said staff who interacted with the person who tested positive wore personal protective equipment.On the field, so far every player and coach on the Chiefs and the Houston Texans teams have tested negative for the virus.One Arrowhead Stadium groundskeeper also tested positive.The Chiefs said in a statement Thursday morning they are cooperating with the health department."Compliance with the protocols remains a key component to making this plan effective.
