She's shooting!,'' referring to Lefler.Reilly told the jury that Lefler pointed her gun at everyone in Morales' apartment -- including her boyfriend, 11-year-old daughter and son -- before pulling the trigger."She (Lefler) did it on purpose,'' the prosecutor said. "In a moment of anger and fury, she shot through that front door. Ms. Lefler sent a message with a bullet through that front door. She can't do that!''Gray told the jury that Lefler called 911 multiple times that night, but police did not help her.Lefler was home alone, scared and outnumbered by her complaining neighbors, Gray said. (KGTV) - The San Bruno Police Department has identified the YouTube shooter as 39-year-old Nasim Najafi Aghdam. Aghdam reportedly drove to YouTube headquarters from San Diego, KRON reported Tuesday evening. Aghdam was a YouTube user who has a website with a manifesto that targets the platform for censorship and demonization of her content, according to ABC7. Law enforcement officials said Aghdam had previous addresses in San Diego and Riverside Counties and lived in a home in Menifee, Calif. with her parents. RELATED:  610

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A former Mira Mesa dentist who bilked insurance companies out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by submitting claims for procedures she never performed, including hundreds of supposed root canals, has been sentenced to six years in state prison, the San Diego County District Attorney's Office announced today.April Rose Ambrosio, 59, pleaded guilty to three counts of insurance fraud earlier this year for fraudulently billing insurance companies for 6,700, for which she received more than 0,000 from 10 insurance companies, according to prosecutors.The DA's Office said Ambrosio falsely claimed she performed 800 root canals on 100 patients, despite not having specialized training as an endodontist to perform such procedures.Ambrosio was sentenced earlier this month, and in addition to a six- year prison term, was ordered to pay 5,633 in restitution. Her license to practice dentistry was also suspended last year, a few months after she was charged.Prosecutors say the fraud occurred between 2014 and 2018. During that time, Ambrosio billed for work she said occurred on days her office was closed and billed for more than 100 root canals during a three- month period, all of which were supposedly performed for a family of four, according to the DA's Office. Medel heard arguments Friday on the lawsuit, which was filed earlier this month on behalf of Cowboy Star Restaurant and Butcher Shop, Home & Away Encinitas, Fit Athletic Club and Bear Republic, shortly before indoor operations were suspended for nonessential businesses in the county due to rising COVID-19 case numbers.The businesses sought a temporary restraining order halting the prohibition on indoor operations, contending that San Diego County's increased case numbers are not a result of exposures at restaurants, gyms and other types of businesses impacted by the closures.While Medel and the state conceded pandemic restrictions have created negative economic impacts for businesses, both stated the public health concerns outweighed those harms.In his ruling, Medel wrote, "In the court's mind, the impact on public health of dismantling a portion of the state's COVID-19 response designed to reduce community spread outweighs the economic harm to plaintiffs at least pending further examination of these issues in any upcoming hearing on preliminary injunction."A status conference was scheduled for Dec. 2 for discussion regarding a preliminary injunction hearing.Wilson Elser, the law firm representing the businesses, declined comment on the ruling, stating through a spokesperson that it does not comment on active lawsuits.The lawsuit cited figures indicating restaurants/bars, retail businesses, places of worship, schools and gyms make up a small percentage of infections and confirmed community outbreaks.During Friday afternoon's hearing, attorney Bruno Katz, representing the businesses, referenced an adjudication request submitted to the state by San Diego County Public Health Officer Dr. Wilma Wooten, which sought to have San Diego County remain in the red tier.
