(KGTV) -- The Encinitas teenager bitten by a great white shark is thanking all who saved him and those who continue to support his recovery.It was nearly two months ago when 13-year-old Keane Webre-Hayes was attacked while lobster diving at Beacon's Beach.Webre-Hayes sustained substantial damage to his left torso and face. His humorous was broken, ball joint broke in half, and rotator cuff torn apart in several places. He also lost a significant amount of his deltoid and lat muscles.The 13-year-old underwent hours of surgeries and got 1,000 stitches."I feel really thankful to have my arm, to be alive, and I'm thankful to probably in the future help other people," said Webre-Hayes.He's now considering a career in lifeguarding. Those who helped him are on a long list of people he wants to thank.“The people that towed me in from the kayak, the first responders, the pilot, the doctors, the nurses, all the companies that have given me things, it's motivation to get back out there and do what I love, like surfing and skateboarding," said Webre-Hayes.His mother, Ellie Hayes, says she is grateful for the outpouring of support and financial donations which will help with ongoing medical expenses."It’s one of the ultimate tests, and I know that there’s a reason and meaning, and there’s good that we can do with it," said Ellie. "We don’t know what that is right now, we’re going through it day by day, but we're  open and ready to make sure we spread the word of courage and strength."Webre-Hayes will continue physical therapy and could have additional surgeries in the future. 1620

They even come pre-stocked.For just over ,000 U.S. dollars, a full bar cart comes with mini bottles of champagne, white and red wine, snacks like biscuits, cookies and almonds, as well as first class amenities like blankets and four sets of pajamas.Qantas also offers a half bar cart.The carts come from the airline’s 747 planes that are being retired. As such, the carts are a little banged up from hundreds of trips up and down those narrow aisles.The carts were listed for sale Wednesday, and within hours, the full carts and half carts were sold out.While that is really quick, it’s not as quick as Qantas sold tickets to a seven-hour flight to nowhere; a sightseeing flight around Australia. FAIRFIELD, Calif. – Police officers in Northern California stepped up to help some children cool off on a hot summer day.The Fairfield Police Department says some of its officers were responding to an area apartment complex when they noticed several kids playing outside in the heat.Unfortunately, police say the youngsters weren’t able to enjoy the community’s pool because of COVID-19 restrictions.Seeing this was no way to spend a hot summer afternoon, police say they came up with a plan to use their own money to purchase dozens of water guns and buckets of water balloons for the kids.When police returned, a water fight began, and the officers got in on the fun.“The ensuing water fight left a lot of soaked uniforms and plenty of smiling faces,” wrote police.The department posted video and photos of the interaction on social media, saying that their community is stronger together.“Transparency and trust in our community with regards to how we protect and serve you is our top priority – we understand that the more we are able to open our doors to you on all levels, the more we can connect, communicate, and work together,” wrote the department. 1166

ESCANABA, Mich. (AP) — A bald eagle launched an aerial assault on a drone operated by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy — which is known as EGLE — ripping off a propeller and sending the aircraft into Lake Michigan. The department says the attack happened July 21, when the drone was mapping shoreline erosion near Escanaba in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Drone pilot Hunter King says he had completed about seven minutes of the mapping flight when satellite reception became spotty and the drone began to twirl. King and two birdwatchers saw the eagle flying away, apparently unhurt. Tracking data indicates the drone landed in the lake, about 150 feet offshore. It has not been found. 723
