SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One week later, San Diego Police Homicide Detectives made an arrest in a homicide case in a Mountain View neighborhood. On Sunday, May 6, 2018 police units responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting at 500 S. 40th St. When the initial units arrived on-the-scene, they found a 33-year-old black male and a 37-year-old black male, both lying on the ground.According to police, both males suffered from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Both victims were later transported to the hospital but, were later pronounced deceased.The victims have been identified as Tony Jackson, 33, and Robert Brown, 37.Family friends said they were fun, caring men who had families and young children of their own. After a preliminary investigation by the San Diego Police Homicide Detectives, they determined that a black male, wearing dark clothing walked up to the victims, who were standing in front of the Rec Center at 500 S. 40th St., and began shooting.There has been a high police presence since the shooting, according to neighbors.San Diego Police Homicide Detectives identified the suspect as Shannon Bryant, 29, of San Diego. Bryant faces charges in connection to the murder of both Jackson and Brown. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in City Heights, that has turned into a stolen vehicle case.It started when a red SUV crashed into a Black SUV on the corner of Euclid and Polk Avenues around 4:30 p.m. Friday.A man and woman fled the scene. Police say the man was carrying a black backpack. Paramedics were called to the scene, but no one was hurt in the crash, according to police. According to the DMV, when they ran the plates of the stolen car, it didn’t match the vehicle they had on file. 553

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Officials with the San Diego Padres announced Friday that pitcher Luis Perdomo received a a five-game suspension for his role in Wednesday’s bench-clearing brawl during a game against the Colorado Rockies.The scrum began in the bottom of the third inning when Padres starting pitcher Luis Perdomo threw a 96-mph pitch that nearly hit Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado in the back.Arenado threw down his helmet and bat and charged Perdomo, who countered by throwing his glove at the batter. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly stole a cello worth 0,000 from a Mission Valley hotel room.According to police, the incident happened on August 8 between 8 and 10 p.m. at the Town and Country hotel on the 500 block of Hotel Circle North.Police say the suspect forced their way into the hotel room, which was unoccupied at the time, and stole several items, including the rare, custom-made cello.The cello was made by Mario Miralles and has a label that reads “Mario Miralles 2010 Alta Dena California”.
