After all, all they really need is an internet connection.“The traditional work day has totally changed with our present situation and it’s taken some time to get used to it,” Wells said. “The ability to work remote and see new parts of the country and it makes you happier and ultimately a more productive employee.”Now, they fish, horseback ride, explore and hike. They've even taken up archery.“We’ve hiked in the Tetons, we’ve horseback with a number of outfitters, we’ve taken day trips to other cities like Ashton in St. Anthony. We saw the dunes in St. Anthony,” Wells said.All while keeping their day jobs.“They understand as long as you’re present and you have internet access that you’re able to do whatever it is you need to do, whether you’re in an office or remote,” Wells said.Property managers say it's a trend they're seeing a lot of.“The 30-day rental used to be more of a unicorn than it is now,” Danessa Itaya, president of Property Management Inc., said.PMI has 260 franchises across the United States.“We hear from our franchisees that they’re getting these 2-3 month rentals, but they’re asking for upgrading internet so I can work remotely (and) how easy can I access the grocery store and the beach,” Itaya said.San Antonio, Texas, Austin, Texas, Naples, Florida, and Idaho are destination hot spots.“Driggs, Idaho, is a feeder into Yellowstone, into Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and they’re regularly looking at 1-3 month rentals. You don’t usually get that, especially in Driggs, Idaho,” Itaya said.Now, as fall approaches, the other inquiry is about school, and internet bandwidth to support both distance learning and remote employees.“They need high-speed internet which is not common,” Itaya said. “You don’t normally get that request from a vacation rental. They need reliable internet and they need cleaning services and laundry services so they’re looking for longer stays.”Proof that people are finding the coronavirus quarantine as an opportunity to do something you would otherwise never do.Wells and his girlfriend are planning on making it a tradition. 2783

Pizza Hut is banking on its customers to say, "Cold beer."Pizza Hut announced on Wednesday that beer delivery will be available at 100 of its Arizona and California locations. The company said beer delivery is part of a nationwide pilot program. The beer will be stored in special coolers to keep it cold during delivery. Coors Light, Blue Moon and Miller High Life will be among the offerings. Customers who order a six-pack in some Arizona markets will have their delivery fee waived. "Nothing complements an oven-hot pizza like an ice-cold beer," said Zipporah Allen, CMO, Pizza Hut. "In addition to our extensive delivery network, many Pizza Hut restaurants are already licensed to serve and distribute beer, without third party services, additional fees, or extended wait times. Expanding the pilot program is a natural way for Pizza Hut to get our customers the perfect pizza and beer combo they're craving, delivered right to their doors."  Pizza Hut said it currently offers beer delivery at participating restaurants in Phoenix, Tucson, Glendale, Prescott, and Winslow in Arizona, along with participating restaurants in Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Riverside, Sacramento, Santa Barbara and Santa Clara in California. Putnam is helping lead a team to test human waste to determine molecule levels linked with the coronavirus.“This gives you early warning that there could be an upsurge or a lessening of the disease in the community,” he said.Putnam says a person that’s been exposed to COVID-19 will pass the virus through their feces and possibly even urine. The waste eventually flows into sewer systems, which scientists will now collect.“We can then take a sample at a wastewater plant and send it to a lab,” he said.Labs at places like Metropolitan State University of Denver.“One of the advantages of this approach is that everybody in the community makes a contribution to the sewage,” said Rebecca Ferrell, Ph.D., a biology professor at MSU Denver.She says that when people get infected with COVID-19, they often shed the virus for several days before showing symptoms. Adding that this specialized stool sampling can alert scientists that the virus is in a community before people start getting sick.“It can give you extra warning about what might be happening in the hospitals then days maybe even a week later when people get sick enough that they are going to make demands on health care that you need to anticipate,” Ferrell said.With the cost to collect this data much cheaper than other options, Ferrell says more scientists are now teaming up with more wastewater treatment plants across the country.“These are the kinds of techniques where a relatively small investment early on can help us to get those resources to the right place and we can keep the mortality low,” she said.Hoping to get ahead of the pandemic, testing number two is becoming the number one priority for some scientists. 1965

Bush, is emerging as a consensus candidate to succeed Jeff Sessions as attorney general, two sources familiar with President Donald Trump's thinking tell CNN.A third source familiar with the process said if Trump offered the position to Barr, he would be willing to accept.Trump's consideration of a new attorney general comes during a critical time for special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, of which the next Justice Department chief will inherit oversight. Barr, 68, has previously offered mixed opinions about the investigation, having praised Mueller but also publicly criticizing political donations made by several members of his team.The Washington Post first reported that Barr is the leading candidate. Sources cautioned to CNN, however, that Trump makes the final decision.Barr served as Mueller's boss when he was attorney general in the early 1990s and Mueller led the criminal division at the Justice Department.The former attorney general hasn't shied away from weighing in on Mueller's investigation.
