Two students were taken into custody after they set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for ammunition to "shoot up" Combs High School in San Tan Valley, Arizona, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. Last week, deputies responded to the school for a report of a threat.According to PCSO, a student reported to school officials that they had overheard two students talking about bringing a gun to school. Deputies say a 15-year-old student had threatened to file off the serial number of a gun and bring it to campus. A second student reportedly helped the 15-year-old set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for ammunition. "The site explained that ammunition was expensive and they needed help to shoot up Combs High School," PCSO said in a statement. The first student did not have any weapons, but the second student did have access to weapons at his home, deputies said.The second student reportedly told deputies that he did not know who created the GoFundMe account but was there when it was created. The GoFundMe account has since been removed, deputies said. Both students were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism and interference or disruption of an education institution.  1264

Two naval aviators have been declared dead after their FA-18 fighter jet crashed off the coast of Key West, Florida, on Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., the US Navy announced on Twitter.The two-person crew ejected, Navy Cmdr. Mike Kafka said. The Navy added that the jet, which was on a training flight, is part of Strike Fighter Squadron 213, known as the Blacklions.Rescue crews recovered both aviators from the water, the Navy said in a tweet. They were taken by ambulance to Lower Keys Medical Center.The jet crashed on approach to Naval Air Station Key West, and the cause of the crash is under investigation, according to the tweet."We are sad to report that both aviators have been declared deceased," the Naval Air Forces' tweet said. Tucson Police's Operation Division South Motor Squad took a different and non-traditional approach to help raise awareness for safe driving on Thursday.According to the department, mannequins were placed at different intersections around Tucson in an effort to lower collision statistics and urge drivers to pay better attention to their driving and what is around them. The mannequins were dressed like officers and placed in and around police vehicles near intersections that are or have been known for vehicle crashes.This is the first time TPD has utilized this method by using mannequins.Tucson Police said drivers can expect to see the mannequins out again Aug. 21 but the location has yet to be determined.  732
