(AP) — Authorities say divers have found the body of the last missing victim in a fatal boat fire that killed 34 people off the Southern California coast. The victim is one of 34 who died at sea last week near Santa Cruz Island. Five of the Conception's six crew members survived after multiple attempts to save the others who were trapped below deck.Authorities have said the victims, 21 women and 13 men from 16 to 62 years old, appear to have died from smoke inhalation. One of the victims was San Diegan Nicole Quitasol, a waitress at Nickey Rotten's in Coronado. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office also said Wednesday on Twitter that authorities are still doing DNA testing to confirm the identities of seven of the victims. Lt. Erik Raney says salvage efforts to recover the Conception also resumed Wednesday. The FBI, Coast Guard and U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles are conducting a criminal probe into the Sept. 2 tragedy. A cause has yet to be determined. The Coast Guard has issued safety recommendations, urging the owners and operators of vessels to immediately reduce potential fire hazards and consider limiting unsupervised charging of lithium-ion batteries and extensive use of power strips and extension cords. 1244

It just got a bit harder to find the latest issue of Cosmopolitan at Walmart. The retail company said Tuesday that it's removing the women's magazine from checkout lines. The National Center on Sexual Exploitation said Walmart made the decision following conversations with the anti-pornography organization."As with all products in our store, we continue to evaluate our assortment and make changes. Walmart will continue to offer Cosmopolitan to customers that wish to purchase the magazine, but it will no longer be located in the checkout aisles," Walmart said in a statement. While the move "was primarily a business decision, the concerns raised were heard," the company added.Cosmopolitan magazine, which is published by Hearst, is known for its sex tips and advice for young women. It covers "men and love, work and money, fashion and beauty, health, self-improvement and entertainment," and reaches millions of readers each month, according to Hearst's website.Hearst did not immediately reply to a request for comment. In a statement, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation lauded the "significant policy change.""Walmart's removal of Cosmo from checkout lines is an incremental but significant step toward creating a culture where women and girls are valued as whole persons, rather than as sexual objects," Executive Director Dawn Hawkins said. The group takes issue with the magazine, and believes customers shouldn't have to see it while checking out at stores, because it "places women's value primarily on their ability to sexually satisfy a man and therefore plays into the same culture where men view and treat women as inanimate sex objects," Hawkins said. The National Center on Sexual Exploitation, which changed its name from Morality In Media in 2015, works to highlight the negative effects of pornography, which it calls a "public health crisis." 1899

President Donald Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow announced Sunday that Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing will not join Trump's legal team for the Russia probe."The President is disappointed that conflicts prevent Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing from joining the President's Special Counsel legal team. However, those conflicts do not prevent them from assisting the President in other legal matters. The President looks forward to working with them," Sekulow said in a statement. The announcement on Sunday came as Trump insisted on Twitter he was not having a hard time assembling a legal team for the Russia probe, and after CNN reported on Friday that diGenova and Toensing's roles in the legal team were still in question. Two sources previously told CNN that there was concern about diGenova and Toensing's conflicts. The pair make up a husband-and-wife legal team, and two sources noted that Toensing represents clients who are connected to the special counsel probe led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller.Sekulow announced last Monday?that diGenova would be joining the legal team, and sources told CNN that both diGenova and Toensing met with Trump on Thursday. That same day, Trump's lead lawyer, John Dowd, resigned from Trump's personal legal team in the Russia investigation. The possibility of diGenova's hire attracted widespread attention to the legal figure's brash comments about the Russia investigation, including the assertion that Trump had been "framed" by FBI and Justice Department officials. 1559
