SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police agencies throughout San Diego County are investigating multiple brewery break-ins, all within the last week. Employees at Serpentine Cider say they were hit last Friday morning. Their surveillance cameras captured a man walking up to their business, moving a planter and then smashing a window to get inside. The person got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Just two miles away, Longship Brewery says they were hit that very same morning. The suspect, also broke a window and crawled inside, getting away with an empty cash drawer. In Vista, Barrel Harbor Brewing confirms with 10News someone also broke into their place the same exact way. They reported the crime to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. On social media, a fourth brewery, Black Plague, posted pictures of a break-in at their business on Instagram. Oceanside Police is investigating that incident. So far, police haven't confirmed if the incidents are related or released a description of who they're looking for. 1029

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Most above-ground power lines in San Diego may soon be gone.The City of San Diego has an aggressive plan to move the lines underground, and they want your input at a meeting next week.People in Ocean Beach aren’t looking forward to the headache during construction, but can’t wait until the power poles are gone.Wayne Samuel works at Ozzie's Import Auto in Ocean Beach. The process to move utility wires outside his business underground has already begun.“So far they’ve taken underground connections from building to power grid,” said Samuel.A map of the plan shows there are 1,000 miles left to transfer underground. The city plans to bury 15 miles a year.The project will be funded by a surcharge on your SDG&E power bill that you’ve been paying since 2002. The city says you won’t see an increase in your bill, even though the price tag is in the billions.The reason for going underground? Fire safety and aesthetics.“I think it’s a good idea getting billboards and power lines out of the visible view of the public,” Samuel said.Arthur Harral has lived in Ocean Beach for more than 40 years. He’s dealt with the pre-construction and paid for the surcharges, but doesn’t mind.“It’s a wonderful deal. In some states across the country, in Colorado, they have them underground, and I’m all for it in San Diego,” said Harral.Construction will last 18 to 36 months. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating a possible road rage incident that ended with a car crashing into a tree in Scripps Ranch.According to San Diego police, the crash happened just after 11 p.m. Monday on Scripps Ranch Boulevard and Spring Canyon Road.Police said a couple in a silver SUV called 911 and claimed a black car intentionally backed into them, causing the black car to lose control before crashing into a tree.However, the driver of the black car said he accidentally cut off the SUV, so they then hit him from the back and forced him to crash.The incident remains under investigation, as police try to sort out the full details of the episode.No injuries were reported. 699

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - President Donald Trump said San Diego "needs a wall" while he toured eight border wall prototypes along the county's southern border Tuesday.During his visit, the president stopped intermittently during his inspection of the structures to discuss the wall and, at times, slam the state over its immigration policies."For the people that say no wall, if you didn't have walls over here you wouldn't even have a country," Trump said at the prototypes. "And, by the way, the state of California is begging us to build walls in certain areas. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a woman suspected of shooting a woman in the Southcrest area Monday morning.San Diego police said officers were called to the 900 block of South 39th Street just after 7 a.m. in response to a person injured in a shooting.Officers arrived to find a woman with a gunshot wound to her chest. She was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, but her condition is unknown as of 10 a.m.Witnesses told police the suspected shooter, a woman, fled the scene in a silver sedan.Moments after the shooting, the California Highway Patrol received a report of a crash on Interstate 805 near state Route 54 involving the vehicle believed to be driven by the suspected shooter.CHP officials believes the suspected shooter may have been injured in the crash but left the scene.Police are checking to see if the woman sought treatment at any area hospitals. 889
