The house in the 6700 block of Spruce Street in Sterling, Ohio, had a minor electrical fire July 3. The couple who lived there, a white man and a black woman, were staying elsewhere during repairs, deputies said. Around 1 a.m., neighbors reported an explosion at the home. CNN has learned an arrest warrant was issued over the summer for R. Kelly's former manager, James Mason, after Mason was accused of threatening to kill the father of Joycelyn Savage, one of the women featured in "Surviving R. Kelly."The incident, which allegedly took place in May 2018, was reported by Timothy Savage to Henry County police. Savage claims his daughter is being held against her will by R. Kelly and Mason threatened him for speaking out about it.Reached by phone Wednesday morning, Mason told CNN he had "no comment" and referred additional questions to his attorney. In an incident report obtained by CNN, Timothy Savage stated that Mason said, "I'm gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I'm gonna get you, I'm going to f***ing kill you."The case was presented to a Magistrate Judge who issued a warrant in July, citing "terroristic threats and acts." The warrant is assigned to the sheriff's office.Joycelyn Savage's family has claimed she is having a sexual relationship with Kelly, and that she is being manipulated by him into cutting off contact with the outside world. Her father says they haven't heard from her in about two years. She responded to this claim in a video released in 2017, in which she denied she's being held and that she had been brainwashed by the Grammy-award winning singer."I just want everybody to know -- my parents and everybody in the world -- that I'm totally fine. I'm happy where I'm at and everything is OK with me," she said in the video. 1518
DENVER, Colo. – The airline industry has taken a huge hit during the COVID-19 crisis and even though there are thousands of planes grounded, some people still need to travel.Millions of Americans are currently under stay-at-home orders which caused international air travel to plummet, but within the United States, thousands of domestic passenger flights are still taking off each day.One expert wants to inform the public about what they need to know about traveling in this climate.“Some carriers overseas have suspended operations entirely,” said Ben Mutzabaugh, senior aviation editor at The Points Guys.According to 634
During the nightly White House Coronavirus Task Force news briefing Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci said that it’s possible that the coronavirus will become a seasonal illness, one that returns in earnest annually like the flu. But unlike the flu, a vaccine is not available for COVID-19, and at its current rate, is much more deadly than the flu. Fauci told reporters that it’s important for scientists to develop a vaccine quickly. “What we’re starting to see in the Southern Hemisphere of Southern Africa and the Southern Hemisphere countries, is that we’re having cases that are appearing as they go into their winter season,” he said. “If they have a substantial outbreak, it will be inevitable that we need to be prepared that we’ll get a cycle a second time.” Fauci’s tone, however, was one of optimism, saying that doctors and officials will defeat the virus. The news conference came as the Senate was putting the finishing the finishing touches on legislation to stimulate the economy – an economy President Donald Trump is hopeful to restart in the coming weeks. Passage of the bill did hit a snag as several GOP senators believe that the bill gives incentives for people to go on unemployment. Regardless of when the economy reopens, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said that he believes the bill Congress is working on provides enough support to keep the economy functional for three months. He added that the unemployment provision was needed in order to rush funds to states in order to administer the checks. The highlight of the bill is that it would put ,200 into the bank accounts of a majority of Americans in April. “We need to get this money into the American economy and American workers, that's the importance of this,” Mnuchin said. Trump said on Tuesday that Easter is a “special day,” which is partially why he wants to have the country reopened by then. On Wednesday, he said that it’s possible to reopen sections of the country piecemeal. “There are large sections of our country probably can go back much sooner than other sections and we're obviously looking at that,” Trump said. 2124
