STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. – A suspected car thief was arrested after authorities say he was caught using a homemade license plate, drawn in crayon on a paper grocery bag. On Thursday, Indiana State Police say troopers stopped to lend a hand to 20-year-old Joshua Anthony Lewis-Brown when they spotted him stranded along the I-80 Toll Road. Initially, officers found Lewis-Brown tending to a flat tire on a Toyota Corolla. The man said he was unable to change the tire and he was in need of a tow truck. Preparing to oblige Lewis-Brown’s request, police say troopers spotted the suspicious license plate on the car and began to investigate further. Officers ran a check on the vehicle identification number (VIN) and discovered the Corolla had been reported stolen out of State College, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday. They also found that the driver, a resident of Rochester, New York, had never actually been licensed to operate a motor vehicle in any state and was on probation for grand larceny. Lewis-Brown was placed under arrest and transported him to the Steuben County Jail, where he was booked and charged with possession of stolen property and operating without ever obtaining a license. He’ll be held on the Indiana charges before being extradited back to Pennsylvania to face local charges.Police say the stolen vehicle had been left unattended and unlocked with the engine running outside a Pennsylvania grocery store. The owner, wanting to keep his car warming in the cold weather, had run into make a quick purchase, only to find his car missing upon return, according to police. “In light of this particular circumstance, the Indiana State Police would remind all motorists that leaving your vehicle unattended with the engine running and doors unlocked, is never a good idea,” wrote police. “Auto theft is often a common occurrence during the winter months. This is especially true in our urban neighborhoods where we find a higher concentration of residents wanting to warm their cars unattended in the frigid early morning hours prior to the morning commute.” 2081

Special counsel Robert Mueller did not find Donald Trump's campaign or associates conspired with Russia, Attorney General William Barr said Sunday.Mueller's investigation of whether the President committed obstruction of justice did not conclude the President committed a crime, but it also "does not exonerate him," Barr quoted from Mueller's report. After nearly two years of being under the cloud of the Russia investigation, Trump's presidency is no longer directly under threat from the special counsel probe as the White House turns toward the 2020 campaign, although he still faces the specter of more legal and congressional action from the other investigations that remain ongoing.Trump and his allies charged that Mueller's report fully vindicated the President, while Democrats were already raising questions about Barr making the decision on obstruction, a signal that the fight and the fallout from Mueller's investigation is far from over.Mueller did not make the decision himself on whether to prosecute the President on obstruction. Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein made the determination the evidence was "not sufficient" to support prosecution. The President went beyond the conclusions of Barr's letter, saying Sunday the findings were a "complete and total exoneration.""No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!" 1399

Retirement is just a numbers game to Carl Jensen, who quit his job when he was miserable and decided his family of four could live off less.“We save a lot of money,” Jensen said. “We (do) the electricity ourselves, too.”He’s at home with his family full time and is making it work by slashing the family’s expenses."I had a really bad day at work, and I remember thinking I had this incredible stress. I can't do this for the next 15 to 20 years of my life,” he said. "I don't need a new car, so I don't have a new car. I don't care about my clothes ... so I don't buy brand new clothes. And I have an old phone because honestly I don't want to learn a new phone."The family lives on just more than ,000 a year, an amount his retirement funds generate, along with his wife’s job at a startup."I realized early, retirement is just a number game, and if you're a saver and can be a little bit frugal when you're younger and let the stock market work for you, you can actually stop working early.""People that haven't saved very much for retirement still have great choices available to them if they're flexible."Kim Curtis, Wealth Legacy Institute CEO, understands Jensen’s choice isn’t for everyone and says approaches can vary."The key around your 40s is making sure that you don't give up the savings your started in your 20s,” Curtis says.People in their 20s should focus on a savings routine such as a 401K, Roth IRA and keeping credit card balances low. Those in their 30s need to focus on asking for a raise and building their salaries.Curtis says they need to be bold.People in their 40s have a tougher time if they have growing children. It’s harder to save."The key around your 40s is making sure that you don't give up the savings your started in your 20s,” she said.Keep building the money in your 50s and consider not fully retiring until your 70s. It’s not as bad as it sounds."The idea of not working and stepping off and not having any new income from the time you retire through life expectancy is really a fallacy now because a lot of people have side hustles and a side hustle in retirement could be an Uber driver. It could be a wag walk or dog sitting,” Curtis says.People who can keep working will benefit most, though. For the average person, ,000 a month at age 62 is all social security provides. And it’s ,425 at age 66.If you don’t draw until you are 70 years old, it jumps to ,800 per month, Curtis says."That's significant."Jensen decided working is not for him, but he picks up contract jobs in between repairing and adding on to his house, which he does himself. 2611
