"We've been telling them 'look, let's work on this long term affordable housing, where we get credit and we know how to help you do that successfully.'"Worden said this would be different, because it would give people such as fairgrounds workers, emergency medical technicians, teachers, and restaurant servers to permanently live close to where they work.Worden says the city has picked out five locations on the fairgrounds, mostly around the perimeter.The cost is still not clear, but Del Mar may ask Solana Beach the city of San Diego to participate, and see if they can get partial credit for their housing requirements.Del Mar must built 163 new housing units by 2029. Democrats now lead Republicans by 52% to 41% in a nationwide generic Congressional ballot according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS and released Tuesday. The blue lead has increased slightly from eight percentage points in June of this year to an 11 percentage point difference in the most recent poll.Despite Democrats' advantage on that measure, a plurality (48%) in the same poll believe Republicans will maintain control of Congress after the election, compared with 40% who believe Democrats will gain control.Among those who favor the Democratic candidate in their district, 64% say they think Democrats will ultimately win control of Congress, while among those backing Republican candidates, 83% think the GOP will maintain control.Compared to previous elections, 68% of registered voters say they're more enthusiastic to vote in this election than in the past. Registered Democrats and Republicans report being more excited to vote at similar levels, with 70% and 68% saying so, respectively.However, Democrats have taken a much higher leap in enthusiasm vs. 2016 than Republicans. DEL MAR (CNS) - Star jockey Flavien Prat tested positive for COVID-19 Sunday following a trip to Kentucky for a riding assignment, and will quarantine at his home for at least 10 days, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club officials confirmed.Prat was tested at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla around noon and received a report of a positive test approximately 90 minutes later. He had been named to ride eight horses at Del Mar Sunday but was removed from all those mounts.Del Mar requires all riders traveling from other jurisdictions to be tested prior to being able to ride at the track.Del Mar will test all jockeys and jockeys' room personnel before its next day of racing, Friday.Jockey Victor Espinoza had tested positive for COVID-19 Friday. He is also isolating at home. He was scheduled to ride on Del Mar's opening day Friday but was removed from his mounts.Prat is the fourth thoroughbred jockey to have ridden at Los Alamitos Race Course on July 4 to have tested positive for the coronavirus, following Luis Saez, Martin Garcia and Espinoza.Eduard Kennis Rojas Fernandez, a quarter-horse jockey who rides at Los Alamitos, has also tested positive. The affluent realtor lives in the city's Hilltop neighborhood.A neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous, released screenshots from the social media app NextDoor that show Reich removing Black Lives Matter signs. The anonymous NextDoor user posted on the app, saying that the incident happened on Aug. 1 around 6:30 a.m. He claims Reich had six to eight signs in her SUV.On Wednesday, Reich admitted she removed two Black Lives Matter signs, one from her neighbor next door and another from a neighbor across the street. She added that she returned the signs three hours later.She said in a phone interview that the signs were as offensive as “KKK” signs and called the Black Lives Matter movement a “terrorist organization” out to destroy America. Reich said she apologized to her neighbors, but was not sorry for standing up against what she referred to as an anti-Semitic organization she found highly offensive. In one minute, Rush hit the target 24 times, breaking his previous record of 19.Rush said that he previously set the record unofficially at 24, but it did not count as the video he used to document his attempt did not take.With the Nerf gun being “single-shot,” Rush is required to reload between each shot.Rush says he uses his record-breaking attempts to promote STEM education.
