FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police have arrested a 14-year-old girl after they say she was behind the wheel of a car that reversed into a patrol car twice -- once with the officer inside -- and led them on a pursuit before crashing into a fence. The girl is facing several felony charges.Police say they were called to a local RaceTrac on Saturday to investigate a suspicious car. When they got on scene, they found a 14-year-old girl behind the wheel. They say she then reversed into the patrol car twice, the second time while the officer was inside, then took off.She led police on a nearly mile-long pursuit until she crashed her car into a fence. The panel of the metal fence was destroyed. Shyvonne Jackson said he was leaving work when he saw the commotion. "Someone could have got hurt. Some kids could have gotten hurt. Somebody could have got their life taken away," he said. The girl is now facing multiple charges, including 10 counts of hit-and-run with property damage and six counts of aggravated battery on an officer.  1090

Following a three-month break from the campaign trail, President Donald Trump told reporters from the White House pool on Wednesday that he is planning to resume campaign rallies soon.An exact date and location for upcoming rallies isn’t available yet, but Trump said that he has visits to Oklahoma, Florida, Arizona, North Carolina on his schedule. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Florida police and campaign officials say President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Brad Parscale has been hospitalized after he threatened to harm himself. Police officers say they talked Parscale out of his Fort Lauderdale home Sunday after his wife called police to say that he had multiple firearms and was threatening to hurt himself. He was hospitalized under the state’s Baker Act, which allows anyone deemed to be a threat to themselves or others to be detained for 72 hours for psychiatric evaluation. Parscale was demoted from the campaign manager’s post in July but remained part of the campaign, helping run its digital operation. 686

Former ESPN president John Skipper says he abruptly resigned from the network late last year because he was being extorted by a cocaine dealer.In an in-depth interview with The Hollywood Report's James Andrew Miller, Skipper recounted his substance abuse issues and the decision to leave the network.Skipper told Miller that he used cocaine intermittently throughout his professional life. He says the habit began before he joined ESPN in 1997, but maintained that his drug use never interfered with his work, outside of "a missed plane and a few canceled morning appointments."Skipper also said he was "unusually clever" in finding ways to buy cocaine so as not to attract attention to himself. That changed in December, when he says someone he had not dealt with before attempted to extort him for purchasing drugs."It turned out I wasn’t careful this time," Skipper told Miller.Skipper immediately informed Disney CEO Bob Iger of the threat."When I discussed it with Bob, he and I agreed that I had placed the company in an untenable position and as a result, I should resign," Skipper told Miller.On Dec. 18, Skipper shocked ESPN employees by announcing his resignation, citing substance abuse issues.
