SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- People on social media are outraged after video shows a security guard questioning a mother's immigration status in a Target parking lot. The woman who recorded and posted the video, Sonia Serrano Zavala, says the guard was asking the mother if she is here legally when she started recording. The unidentified security guard can be heard in the video saying, "You’re illegally here and you’re having babies and you’re probably on welfare."The woman, seen holding a baby in the parking lot, was reportedly asking for money. Midway through the video, the security guard says "it's a scam" and claims the woman has a car and a condo.The incident took place at a Target located in the Marketplace at the Grove Shopping Center. The guard does not work specifically for Target, but provides security for the entire shopping center. The company who hires the security guards for the mall said, "The behavior of this employee is not reflective of the standards we have set for our security professionals, and we will address it."WARNING: The video below contains graphic language.  1136

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- One of the most anticipated panels of Comic-Con Day 2 was "The Walking Dead" Panel. Fans left Hall H with several surprises for the upcoming season. If you're a Comic-Con mega fan, patience is a vital part of the experience. Many slept on the grassy courtyard for hours, just to claim a seat inside the coveted Hall H. Fans say they can't get enough. "I've been a fan since the first season came out," Superfan, Marvin Calderon said. "I'm also a fan of the comic books."Calderon showed us his right arm. It is entirely covered with "The Walking Dead" themed tattoos, proving to us, his extreme loyalty to the show.Friday's panel featured the showrunner, Angela Kang, her executive producers, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert, and Greg Nicotero, as well as cast members Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Avi Nash, Cooper Andrews, Ryan Hurst, Nadia Hilker, Eleanor Matsuura, and Cailey Fleming. This was 12-year-old Cailey Fleming's first Comic-Con experience, and she stole the show. Fans were impressed by her ability to handle the crowd and mingle with the cast."She is awesome," Calderon said about her. "The sheer fact that she doesn't seem to be scared of anything that the show can throw at her."Perhaps the biggest surprise was from Danai Gurira, who plays "Michonne." Fighting back tears, she announced her departure from the show, after Season 10."This has been one of the purest joys of my life to play this role, and to be amongst these people," Gurira said. Fans teared up as they listened to her farewell speech. Gurira thanked her fans for their unconditional support. She said it was a decision she did not take lightly, and that she hoped to follow her other callings. "My heart breaks," fan Katherine Butler said. "But I wish her luck because I loved her in Marvel. So she's going to do well no matter where she goes."As for Calderon, he says his tattoo is forever. "Michonne" will always be with him, even after her departure. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- One person is dead following a shooting at a Midway-area sex shop, according to police.The shooting happened around 12:45 p.m. on the 3600 block of Midway Drive.The identity of the victim and the details surrounding the shooting weren’t immediately clear. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Poway Unified School District has approved a plan for some students to return to in-person classes starting as soon as this month.The district's board on Thursday approved a phased reopening plan for elementary schools starting on Oct. 1, with the first group of schools opening with an AM/PM schedule.Abraxas High School will reopen with an A/B schedule on Oct. 8, and PUSD's remaining elementary schools will reopen with an AM/PM schedule on Oct. 12, according to the district.The board also approved resuming on-campus special education services and in-person instruction for small groups after Sept. 24.RELATED: San Diego County schools allowed to reopen for in-person learningAll students, from preschool through 12th grade, will be required to wear a mask when returning to campus. Virtual class options will continue to be made available for families.Board leaders reached an agreement on allowing small groups of middle and high school students to return to campus for targeted learning support, social-emotional groups, special education services, and co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - More than 70 non-profit groups and organizations teamed up and collected supplies for the thousands of migrants that arrived in Tijuana after leaving Central America.  Many are looking to enter the United States.Enrique Morones, the founder of Border Angels, say dozens of people will meet in San Diego Sat 10:!5 a.m. Saturday. They expect to pack 15 to 20 vehicles with much-needed supplies and bring them to Tijuana.  Morones calls it the ‘Caravan of Love.’Morones says atlas 30 groups will be represented when they make the delivery, which consists of non-perishable food, sleeping bags, toiletries, and more.“Just imagine if your house was on fire and you have to run out, and you have to live in the street, what would you need? It’s those same types of things because these people are escaping a very difficult situation in their home country… so they had to flee, they didn't have a lot of time to take things with them,” Morons said.Morones says doctors from UCLA and UCI will also be joining their Caravan of Love to give health exams to the migrants and families.“We wanna treat these people with kindness and love,” he said. 1172
