"A large exterior hand-painted mural of an ice cream cone incorporates Salt & Straw’s signature striped motif — a nod to the company’s origins as a red-and-white striped ice cream cart."In San Diego, customers can find custom local flavors such as Peanut Butter Stout with Chocolate Chicharrón featuring Belching Beaver Brewery’s peanut butter milk stout, and James Coffee and Bourbon featuring coffee from local roasters James Coffee Co.At One Paseo, the shop will debut two new dairy-free flavors: Freckled Mint TCHO-colate Chip and Dandelion Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies & Cream.As if that wasn't enough for customers to choose from, a special menu of themed flavors will rotate monthly. (KGTV) — LEGOLAND California helped make the season bright for one lucky 11-year-old who in return, helped usher in the holidays at the park.Gideon Robinson, an 11-year-old cancer survivor from Lake Elsinore, and his family helped the park light its 30-foot tall LEGO Christmas tree in the park's Fun Town. After pulling the switch, Robinson helped illuminate the tree's 11,000+ twinkling lights, which is set atop more than 400 LEGO decorations and 245,000 green DUPLO bricks.Robinson was given a star ornament and special invitation to the park's LEGO Movie World expansion set to open next year. He and his family were also treated to a stay at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel.Robinson is a two-time cancer survivor who was first diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia a week after his fifth birthday and again in 2019 after a short remission before receiving news that he had beaten leukemia."During these unprecedented times when so many are faced with challenges, it’s positive stories such as Gideon’s that provide inspiration to all of us," said LEGOLAND California Resort President Kurt Stocks. Charges have been dropped against the man accused of criminal homicide in the Opry Mills shooting.Chaos ensued when 22-year-old Justin Golson?shot at?22-year-old?Demarco Churchwell, who was taken to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition where he later died.Immediately after the shooting, Golson ran from the mall to a ticketing booth outside, placed his gun on the counter, and told the people inside to call 911. He told detectives he acted in self-defense after being threatened over social media by the victim and his friends.The mall was evacuated as police secured the area and investigated the incident.Court records show Golson's charge of criminal homicide was dismissed on Monday, July 30. 729

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — The body of an 11-month-old girl whose disappearance prompted an Amber Alert has been found dead in a diaper box, her mother is reportedly in custody. According to WBTV, the mother, 19-year-old Breanna Lewis, had initially told officials that she was walking to her mailbox carrying her daughter when a man violently stole the baby out of her arms. The baby, Harlee Lane Lewis, was found dead a few hours later.Chesterfield County Sheriff Jay Brooks told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the body was found inside a diaper box in a field about 1,000 yards behind a home in Chesterfield, South Carolina.Brooks says the Amber Alert was canceled “because we don’t think there was a kidnapping.” The mother was then taken into custody and is being questioned, along with other family members, according to WCIV. The mother has been charged with filing a false police report, according to WSOC. Additional charges are pending following the autopsy report.The Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, the FBI and SLED are investigating the case. 1106

Celebrating the newest Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will look a different this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. Organizers announced they will replace the annual live ceremony with an exclusive special honoring this year’s inductees.The program will be available on HBO and to stream on HBO Max on November 7, replacing the 35th annual live ceremony originally scheduled for May 2 of this year.“To protect the health and safety of our Inductees, their families, crews, and our attendees, we’ve made the decision that the scheduled live event is not possible,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation in a statement. “Together with HBO and executive producer Joel Gallen, we will still create an exciting program honoring our 2020 inductees, by telling the stories of their incredible contributions to music and impact on a generation of artists that followed them.”The 2020 Inductee class includes Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T-Rex, and Ahmet Ertegun Award honorees Jon Landau and Irving Azoff.Visitors can now visit the Rock Hall.
