The storm went from 40 mph on Sunday to 75 mph on Monday and is expected to undergo rapid intensification again in the next 24 hours.The storm now has maximum sustained winds of 85 mph. A Category 1 hurricane has sustained winds of 74 to 95 mph.Monday night, Michael's center was about 60 miles north-northwest of the western tip of Cuba, with the storm moving northward at 12 miles per hour. McClatchy, the publisher of more than two dozen daily newspapers across the country, will reduce its staff by approximately three and a half percent, cut expenses across the company, and implement other measures to save money, the company announced in an internal memo obtained by CNN on Tuesday.Craig Forman, president and chief executive officer of McClatchy, told employees in the memo that the decisions were "painful and difficult" but "necessary to protect and further our future." Markus Paul, who was the Dallas Cowboys' strength and conditioning coordinator, has died, the team announced Wednesday. "He was a pleasant and calming influence in our strength room and throughout The Star.
