The second attraction announced called "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance" places guests in the middle of an "epic battle" between the Resistance and the First Order.Through it all, fans will recognize sounds from legendary composer John Williams, who is providing new and exclusive "Star Wars" scores for the expansion.Disney World will also get its own Star Wars land, set to debut in fall 2019.Two new videos were also released to hype the attractions: 480

The University of Maryland's astronomy department said that Comet 46P will be the 10th closest comet since 1950 because few comets are ever bright enough to be seen with the naked eye.The "Christmas comet" appears in our sky once every five years as it orbits the sun. It was closest to the sun on December 12. The comet is named for the man that first observed it in 1948, Carl Wirtanen, a senior observing assistant at California's Lick Observatory."Look towards the east with a small pair of binoculars or a telescope to see the green, fuzzy comet. It will be near the constellation Orion, or the saucepan," said Brad Tucker from the Australian National University Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics.Much like watching a meteor shower, you'll want to be in an area without much light pollution. Look up anytime between twilight and sunrise to catch a glimpse. Check TimeandDate.com to figure out the best time in your part of the world. If you aren't able to view it, the Virtual Telescope Project will stream observations from its robotic telescopes. So why does the comet look fuzzy or ghostly? It's three-quarters of a mile across with a core that's less than a mile wide. But the atmosphere around the comet, or coma, is bigger than Jupiter. When it passes the sun, this icy comet essentially experiences some melting. That's what creates the glowing green cloud. The diffuse nature of the coma and its glow may actually make it more difficult to view, especially if using binoculars or a telescope. Astronomers have predicted the comet will have a magnitude of 4.2, which means that a dark, clear sky and an absence of ambient light will most likely be needed to see it.And unlike other comet sightings, this comet's tail will be behind it when it passes, meaning we most likely won't see it unless the tail develops a curve before its closest approach to Earth.Comet 46P was originally chosen by the European Space Agency to land the Rosetta probe on its surface, but launch delays caused a new target to be selected. (Rosetta went on to land on Comet 67P in 2014.)"Wirtanen's comet could easily be chosen again for another mission," said Jim Lattis, director of the University of Wisconsin astronomy outreach center, UW Space Place. "So that means watching this comet each time it comes near could be important."Much like the OSIRIS-REx mission to study the asteroid Bennu, a remnant from the early solar system, Comet 46P could provide similar insight."We're getting a look at stuff that was formed during the formation of the solar system and has been out in the deep freeze since then," Lattis said. "When these things come in and we get a chance to study them, we're seeing some of the raw materials out of which the Earth and the other planets and everything else formed." 2795

The team is evaluating all the data, and we'll update about a launch date when we can, according to ULA.On Tuesday night, a planned launch was scrubbed due to high winds. On Dec. 8, the launch was scrubbed just 7.5 seconds before its scheduled liftoff due to a technical glitch. An operational problem caused a delay in the launch one day prior to that.Launches from Vandenberg, especially those carried out after sundown, typically create impressive aerial light shows over Southern California and the southwestern United States.RELATED: SpaceX launches rocket carrying 64 satellitesWhen it is eventually launched, the Delta IV Heavy rocket will be carrying a secretive satellite for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office."We are proud to launch this critical payload in support of our nation's national security mission," Gary Wentz, ULA vice president of government and commercial programs, said in a statement prior to the two delays. "As the nation's premiere launch provider, the teams have worked diligently to ensure continued mission success, delivering our customer's payloads to the precise orbits requested."According to the company, the Delta IV Heavy rocket includes three Rocketdyne liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen engines that can produce a combined 2.1 million pounds of thrust.ULA has carried out 27 launches for the National Reconnaissance Office over the past 12 years. 1389

The team of medical experts that performed the procedure believes it is “the first double lung transplant in the world for a patient whose lungs were irreparably damaged from vaping,” the health system said in a news release Monday.“It would be nice if it’s the last — if the epidemic of acute lung injury can be brought under control,” said Dr. David Christiani at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.Christiani said he’s not sure if the number of double lung transplants due to vaping illnesses will increase. He said factors include the availability of donor lungs and the chronic effects of illnesses from vaping that could lead to other types of conditions.More than 2,000 Americans who vape have gotten sick since March, many of them teenagers and young adults, and at least 40 people have died.“We’ve certainly seen people who are very sick with this,” said Dr. Denitza Blagev, a pulmonologist at Intermountain Health Care in Salt Lake City. “I’m not aware (of any other double lung transplants) and 100% certain none of the patients in our system have had a lung transplant from e-cigarette or vaping-associated lung injury.”Christiani and Blagev were not involved in the Detroit transplant. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week 1311

The San Diego Rapid Response Network (SDRRN), a group working to provide migrant families with humanitarian aid, also urged county leaders to implement both short-term and long-term plans to “keep vulnerable asylum-seeking families off the streets and help them reach their final destinations.” 294
