How do you re-capture a gigantic runaway pig?According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, deputies received a call on Saturday that a pig "the size of a mini horse" was roaming a local neighborhood.Deputies were quickly able to track down the swine and determined where he lived, but still had to figure out how to corral him and get him home. It turns out, pigs don't need to be corralled if there are Doritos on hand.According to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Office, Deputy Ponce had a bag of Doritos on hand in her lunch box and was able to lure the pig back to his home by laying a trail of chips on the street.The pig made it safely home and deputies were able to secure the gate. Ponce called the journey "fun."The Doritos appeared to be of the Cool Ranch variety. It's unclear if the pig would have been swayed by Nacho Cheese chips.  880

IMPERIAL BEACH (KGTV) — Some South Bay parents are upset after they say their elementary school abruptly canceled an annual Christmas tradition out of deference to families who do not observe the holiday.For years, students at Oneonta Elementary School in Imperial Beach had a December assembly featuring Christmas decorations, Christmas songs and a visit from Santa.This year’s December assembly was held Friday without a Christmas show. Teachers learned of the change Wednesday, according to 6th grade parent Jose Cariman.“No notice to the parents. No notice to the teachers, no advance notice for anything,” he said. “What are they teaching [the students]? Hundreds of thousands of dollars in coronavirus relief payments have been sent to people behind bars across the United States, and the IRS wants the money back. The federal tax agency is asking state officials to help claw back the cash it says was mistakenly sent. The legislation that authorized the payments during the pandemic doesn’t specifically exclude jail or prison inmates. An IRS spokesman says the agency is relying on the unrelated Social Security Act, which bans incarcerated people from receiving some types of benefit payments.
