SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are looking for a driver involved in a two-car crash that injured pedestrians Tuesday night.The crash happened at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street near Balboa Park. One couple said they were headed to the Haunted Trail at Balboa Park and were waiting to cross the street when they saw two cars headed for them.“I just saw the headlights going towards me, and if I didn't dodge that car, I would have been pinned on that tree. When I fell on the floor I saw that car slam on that tree,” one of the pedestrians said.  Police say a white Toyota was headed south on Sixth Avenue and as it was crossing the intersection of Laurel Street, it was hit by a blue Honda that was making a left turn onto Sixth Avenue.  The driver of the Toyota stayed on scene, but police say the driver of the Honda took off.Officers did not have a very description of the driver, and it’s unclear if there were passengers in their car.  Police say three people were transported to the hospital. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police are looking for the thief who committed a brazen robbery at a South Park metaphysical shop, stealing a ,000 crystal ball in broad daylight in front of store staff and other customers.The theft occurred Monday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. at Crystal Blue Vibrations, San Diego Police said. "This was a lot worse than we thought," co-owner Andrew Lucas told 10News. "That's when we went to the video tape and it showed everything."The thief could be seen casually walking through the store, chatting with an employee behind the counter. He then walked over to the front display, which included several large crystal spheres. He reached in to grab an expensive one, but knocked over a shelf, leaving shattered glass all over and drawing the attention of the employee. However, it appears the employee did not realize the man was attempting to steal the item. While the employee was focused on cleaning up the mess, the the thief can be seen grabbing the crystal ball, placing it on the ground, dribbling it like a soccer ball to the front door, then bending over to pick it up and walk out. "I thought I'd seen it all," Lucas said. "Yeah, it's pretty brazen. It's heartbreaking."Lucas says he plans to limit how much access customers have to certain items in the future. "And more security, but I guess that's what the world is coming to."A police report has been filed. Lucas hopes someone may recognize the thief from the surveillance video and will come forward to identify him. 1513

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are looking into an apparent road rage-related chase and collision involving two women that spanned the length of Interstate 8 between Mission Valley and Ocean Beach.Officers said the women were traveling more than 100 mph on westbound I-8 in Mission Valley before they exited in the Ocean Beach area.When both women got to Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, police said the driver of a silver car rammed the other driver’s white SUV several times. The SUV then forced the other car to collide with a center divide.The SUV’s driver got out of her vehicle and confronted the other driver; she reportedly told police she pepper-sprayed the silver car’s driver because she became aggressive.ABC 10News learned the pepper sprayed driver told police that she and the other woman were dating the same man.However, the SUV’s driver claimed she did not know the silver car’s driver.There is no word if anyone was arrested, as police are still trying to sort out the details. 991

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — No charges will be filed in connection to eight officer-involved shootings and four in-custody deaths in San Diego County, District Attorney Summer Stephan announced Friday.Stephan announced the decisions after her office's review of the lethal force incidents involving Kristopher Birtcher, Guillermo Corrales, Javier Gomez, James Lacy, Oscar Leal, Alexander Ochoa, Osbaldo Ramirez, Paul Rivera, Jason Santana, Paul Silva, Jason Trujillo and Robert Westbrook.The cases involve authorities under San Diego County Sheriff's, San Diego Police, and Oceanside Police departments.The D.A. ruled that officers acted reasonably under the circumstances and officers faced no criminal liability for their actions.Watch Stephan's press conference live on Facebook (Warning: Graphic footage): 808

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - President Donald Trump started a five-day treatment of Remdesivir Friday, according to Navy Commander Dr. Sean Conley.Gilead Sciences is a California-based company, with offices in Oceanside, making the experimental drug Remdesivir. That drug saved San Diegan Troy Kahle's life and has saved others."I did survive and I did have the five-day treatment," Kahle said. "I feel like I'm back 85% which is fantastic," said Kahle.The drug does help patients in certain circumstances, according to doctors.Dr. Christian Ramers, Chief of Population Health at Family Health Centers San Diego, said Remdesivir slows down the production of the virus. He said new information created by a supercharged immune system.He said the virus triggers the immune system to respond with force, creating damaging inflammation. Ramers said that's why the president and other patients are taking a cocktail of medications to battle the viral spread and inflammation. That inflammation leaves scarring in the lungs and lasting effects."If I over exert myself I have an asthma attack, with the wheezing and I've never had asthma before," Kahle said.He hopes by sharing his story to prevent at least one person from suffering the way he has."Please take it seriously, wear a mask, socially distance wash your hands use hand sanitizer.
