(KGTV) -- Thursday, the world’s first autonomous robotic kitchen assistant, Flippy, made its debut.Flippy will begin working alongside kitchen staff at CaliBurger’s Pasadena location.Flippy will, of course, be flipping burger patties and removing them from the grill.The robotic arm was created by Miso Robotics, a company that specializes in robotics and artificial intelligence solutions.The company also developed Miso AI, a cloud-connected learning platform that powers the robotic arms.The technology can detect when the raw burger patties are places on the grill and monitors each one as it cooks.Miso AI displays cooking time and alerts staff when it’s time to place the cheese on top of the patty or dress the burger. 755

Police are looking for a man wanted for the disappearance and possible homicide in connection with a two-year-old near Bakersfield, California.Officers initiated an investigation into the disappearance of Ramon Angel Reyes-Chavez, 2, around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday night, police said.During the investigation, detectives developed information leading them to believe that Reyes-Chavez was the victim of a homicide.Detectives identified Kaleb Jordan Kessinger, 20, as a suspect in this case.They attempted to contact him when they saw him driving his car, but he took off about 10:45 p.m. Officers said he later crashed his car near Calloway Drive and Olive Drive.He was last seen running from the area.Officers were on scene in the Kern River Canyon, about three miles in near Democrat Boat Launch, regarding the investigation around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kessinger for charges which include homicide and felony child abuse.  Kessinger is described as 6'2", 198 lbs, with blonde hair and green eyes.Investigators said they are continuing their search for Ramon Reyes-Chavez and are asking the public to contact the Bakersfield Police Department (661) 327-7111 with any information regarding this case or the whereabouts of Reyes-Chavez or Kessinger.Kessinger was pulled over in 2016 for speeding and was suspected of driving under the influence. He had 6.4 nanograms of marijuana in his system while driving, according to the District Attorney's Office. OTAY MESA, Calif., (KGTV) — Thursday's Caliente Fire turned into a massive blaze at a pallet yard in Otay Mesa, a fire that has burned nearly 500 acres.The business owners returned to the yard Friday to find devastation, as the blaze remained 75% contained.This is not a dream. The life that Francisco and Carolina Ramirez built is now gone. "You're hoping that it will you will wake up in the morning and go back as usual. But you realize when you wake up, it's real," Francisco Ramirez said. RELATED: Cause of Caliente Fire in Otay Mesa under investigationTwenty-five years ago, the couple had the idea to recycle unwanted wood plants and turn them into pallets. It was an effort to help Mother Nature. But on Thursday, it was Mother Nature that destroyed their business, Atlas Wood Pallets. "It's like we've been into a war. And then after that, we only see ashes," Ramirez said. Ramirez says his yard was a small city made of 60,000 pallets. But 99.9% of his inventory is now ash. The 8-foot loading dock is now a swimming pool of dirt. PERRY HALL, Md. - Baltimore County Police say they have four teenage suspects in custody that are suspected to be involved in the death of an officer. At least one of the suspects is facing murder charges. On Monday around 2 p.m. ET, officer Amy Caprio was killed in the line of duty while investigating suspicious activity in Perry Hall. She was almost a four-year veteran of the force. Tuesday morning, police announced that a 16-year-old Dawnta Anthony Harris was arrested shortly after the death of that officer. Police were called to the scene after a woman said a black Jeep Wrangler was near her home, and three suspicious subjects were walking around. The woman stayed on the phone with a dispatcher and said that the three people had broken in and that an officer was on the ground after confronting the driver of the Jeep. Another witness says they saw the Wrangler drive over Caprio, and then drive away, according to the charging documents.Shortly after, another person called 911 saying that she found the Jeep Wrangler was abandoned nearby. A description of the driver was sent out over the police radio and officers were able to find the driver who was later identified as Harris. Charging documents continue to say that Harris admitted that he was waiting in the driver's seat of the Jeep Wrangler while his other associates were burglarizing the house. He then said he tried to drive away in the Wrangler when he saw Caprio arrive in the area. He tried to flee, but Caprio followed him to a cul-de-sac.Caprio demanded he exit the car. He opened the door slightly, shut it, and then drove toward her. He then admitted leaving the Wrangler where it was later found nearby, according to the documents. Harris has been charged with first-degree murder. A spokesperson with police did say the teenager will be charged as an adult.Baltimore County Police say Harris' associates are in custody and they are all teenage boys. Detectives have verified that the group were involved in burglaries in the area. Officers will be canvassing for property stolen during the burglaries on Tuesday.  2176
