Clearly, it's not working,” she said.In Georgia, where she has lived and voted since 2013, nearly a dozen mail-sorting machines were removed. Still, she applied for an absentee ballot.“It was sent out the same day,” said Alana. “Three weeks later, no absentee ballot. And I was getting just so mad.”Even more of a problem, she’s currently staying in Durango, Colorado, dealing with respiratory issues.“I'm here to see if the dry air is a little bit better for my breathing problems,” she said.In Georgia, more than 1.1 million absentee by mail ballots have been returned, trouncing the nearly 155,000 cast in 2016. But, another half million mail-in ballots have yet to be returned.Sarah Alana decided not to take any chances. Despite being high-risk for complications from COVID-19, she bought a 5 plane ticket and made the 1,600-mile journey from Durango to Atlanta to vote in person.“I went through three airports. I took two flights. I was in three Lyft rides, which actually, that was scary for me too.”Others have made similar trips, like a woman studying in Chicago who traveled to her home state of Texas to cast her ballot.The children of 94-year-old Mildred Madison children drove her 300 miles to Detroit to vote in person when her absentee ballot didn’t arrive at her temporary address.“Vote. But know who you are voting for and why,” said Madison.Alana says there’s too much at stake this election not to ensure your voice is heard.“I didn't want to be a victim,” she said. “There is no American citizen that needs to be a victim this year. Let's just do what it takes and get out there and vote.” 2134

(KGTV) - Surveillance video shows a woman at the front door of a home in Chula Vista doing a face-plant to avoid police.Along Paseo Burga, Lillie Utz got an unexpected visitor outside her front door as she was sewing Christmas presents on Saturday afternoon.Through a window, Utz saw a woman racing back and forth in her front yard. Turns out neighbors had seen the same woman running in and out of yards. At least one of them had called police. Soon after, video shows a woman at Utz's front door. I was about six feet away sewing," said Utz. In the video, the woman can't get in, so she kneels and hides. (KGTV) -- Ozzy Osbourne has delayed his Chula Vista concert originally slated to take place Tuesday night.The concert, set to take place at the Mattress Firm Amphitheatre, will now take place on October 18.According to People Magazine, several shows have been delayed after Osbourne underwent hand surgery due to a bacterial infection.Ticket holders for the show are advised to hold on to their tickets, which will be honored for the new date.Refunds are also available at the point of purchase. CINCINNATI -- A school bus crash Monday afternoon on Winton Road in Cincinnati left a 12-year-old girl in "critical" condition, flung a 2-year-old boy onto the road and resulted in the hospitalization of at least 18 other children, according to Lt. Steve Saunders.At least 11 children, including the seriously injured boy and girl, were taken away in ambulances Monday afternoon after the Pleasant Hill Academy bus and four other vehicles collided around 2:30 p.m. Nine others were taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center after their parents took them there to be checked out."I was devastated," parent Latisha McKelton said of the moment she heard about the crash. "I didn’t know what was wrong with my child. I just had to jump in the first moving vehicle and get here as fast as I could to my child. I didn't know if he was injured. I didn't know if he was going to be alive. I just didn't know. I was praying the whole way."According to a news release from Cincinnati police, a total of around 40 people were involved in the crash.Police said the bus was traveling southbound on Winton when a northbound vehicle driven by 23-year-old Robert Jett made an ill-fated attempt to pass the vehicle in front of him.Jett lost control of his car and struck another, this one driven by Jordan Ervin and transporting a pair of toddlers. Ervin's vehicle spun out of control and hit the bus; bus driver Tina Turnbow attempted to control her spinning vehicle and struck a fourth car, this one driven by LeAndre Acoff.Ervin was hospitalized in serious condition, as were his two passengers: The 2-year-old and a 1-year-old.The injured 12-year-old had been riding in the school bus at the time of the crash, according to the release. A district assistant superintendent went to Children's Hospital to help families there. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who are affected by this," Saunders said.He added charges were pending against Jett. 2010

(KGTV) — Police are searching for an 81-year-old man who was last seen in the Otay Ranch Mall area.Chula Vista Police says Donald Mooring was last seen around 3 p.m. near the Otay Ranch Mall on Thursday. Police add that Mooring may be suffering from the effects of dementia.Mooring is described as a black man, 5-foot 9-inches tall, and weighing about 230 pounds. He may be driving a white 2010 Dodge Caravan with California plates "7CHU230".He is believed to be wearing a green plaid shirt, khaki pants, and black tennis shoes.Anyone with information on Mooring's whereabouts is asked to call CVPD at 619-691-5151. 643
