SIEM REAP, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping met here with Cambodia's deputy prime minister on Sunday and voiced China's willingness to push for a higher-level relations with the country.     During the meeting, Xi said bilateral friendship could date back to ancient times and both sides have maintained close contacts. Describing the ties as an example for friendly cooperation, Xi said the Chinese side is willing to enhance cooperation with Cambodia in various fields and push bilateral relations to a higher level, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples. BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping Wednesday called for strengthening Party building in the non-public economic sector and social organizations.     Xi, also a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, told a symposium that efforts should be made to expand Party organizations in the non-public sector and social organizations, and select right persons to head the Party committees.     Xi also urged to absorb more people from the non-public sector to join the CPC and to explore ways for the CPC organizations to play a more effective role.     He said measures should be constantly improved to ensure the scientific development of the non-public sector and social organizations.

BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said Wednesday China and the United States should make joint efforts to push forward cooperation on clean energy and climate change in a substantial way.     Wen said such cooperation is important work and in the interests of both countries and the world. He said the two countries should advance cooperation in this area to bring benefit to the human beings and future generations.     Wen made the remarks when meeting with participants of the Strategic Forum for U.S.-China Clean Energy Cooperation that began in Beijing Wednesday. The forum will last to Friday.     The forum was co-sponsored by the Chinese think tank China Institute of Strategy and Management and the Brookings Institution of the United States. Participants include Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and high-ranking officials from both governments.
