Police in Hampton, Virginia are investigating after 119 MacBook Air laptops were reported stolen from an elementary school.Officers were called to Phenix Elementary School on August 17.Police say two unidentified suspects broke into the school through a window shortly after 3 a.m. and made off with the computers.23-year-old Averi Wilkins of Hampton was charged with one count of possession of stolen property in connection to the case.Wilkins tells News 3 he buys and sells used electronics all the time and didn’t know the laptops had been stolen. Police said in a news conference Tuesday afternoon that investigators found "distractionary-type" devices in the backpack of a boy who shot himself inside Jackson Memorial Middle School near Canton, Ohio. Police said the devices were not explosives and they didn't find any devices that "would have done harm to others." Jackson Township middle school and high school students were dismissed for the day after the boy shot himself around 7:50 a.m. Authorities say the boy suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the boy's bathroom. Plano police remain on a mass shooting scene on Monday in Plano, Texas, where eight people -- including the suspect -- are dead.The shooting occurred at a home on West Spring Creek Parkway around 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening. That's where officers found seven dead bodies, and two others with gunshot wounds; those two were taken to the hospital.Plano officers confronted the suspect inside the home, where they shot and killed him. The officer who fired the shots has been placed on administrative leave. The Texas Rangers were also on scene investigating the shooting.The area around the shooting was closed Monday morning as police continue to investigate the scene.
