Kyle Rittenhouse made his initial court appearance in Kenosha Monday afternoon. The appearance comes after Rittenhouse was extradited from Illinois on Friday, to face charges in Wisconsin after he allegedly killed two people during Kenosha unrest. Illinois Judge OKs Extradition Request Of Kyle Rittenhouse To WisconsinRittenhouse's lawyers attempted to delay or prevent the extradition process, saying the criminal complaint was not signed by a proper magistrate in Wisconsin, which is required by law. However, on Friday, Judge Paul Novak ruled that Rittenhouse would be extradited. Wisconsin Court records show that Rittenhouse is now facing five felony charges and a misdemeanor. Those charges include first-degree reckless homicide, first-degree intentional homicide, and first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Rittenhouse is being held on a million bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 3 at 10:30 a.m. This story originally reported by Julia Marshall on TMJ4.com. 1010

Ali Schroer was on board when her doctor told her she could save hundreds of dollars a month on her allergy medication by ordering it online. “I was a new professional and just trying to save some money, because it was so expensive,” Schroer says. She ordered the prescription on a website that claimed to be an online Canadian pharmacy. “It looked exactly like what I had been taking for years and years, and so, I really didn't think anything of it,” she says. But in a few weeks, she started to feel strange. “I had stomach pains and headaches and kind of achiness,” she recalls. “I would go almost into shock, like I would really get clammy and hot and get like these fever spikes.”When she told a family member about the medication she got online, they did some research and found the site had a reputation for selling counterfeit drugs. Schroer says she threw the medication away, and in within weeks, she felt completely better. Her story is a cautionary tale of the dangers of purchasing medications online. The FDA recently issued a warning letter about the Canadian drug distributor CanaRx, saying it supplied "unapproved" and "misbranded" drugs to consumers in the United States. “If you order medicines online and think they're getting them from Canada, they're probably not coming from Canada,” says Dr. Carmen Catizone, executive director of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. “If you walk into a pharmacy in Canada, then those are medications that are safe enough that are approved by Canada.” An attorney for the company says CanaRx only facilitates the sale of drugs by American pharmaceutical companies licensed by the FDA in original packaging. However, Dr. Catizone says because the U.S. can't regulate drugs from other countries, it's hard to know exactly where drugs you buy online come from. “If something sounds too good to be true, it's probably too good to be true for something that's licensed for a site, where you can get information from a state agency or federal government about,” Dr. Catizone explains. As for Schroer, she has decided to stop online shopping for her prescriptions.“You just don't know enough about where it comes from,” Schroer says. 2210

TAMPA, Fla. — Three generations of one Tampa Bay family say they wound up in oncoming traffic after a blowout involving a newer tire.Steve Nelson says he purchased four new tires last November, but they had just 300 miles on them when he hit the road with his son and grandson in June. The trio left Tampa for a cross country camping trip to Yosemite in California — an adventure that took a scary turn on the drive back home.Steve said he lost control of the truck after the front driver's side tire blew out on I-40 near Gallup New Mexico. “We wound up in the oncoming lane dodging semi-trucks,” he said. Steve a retired insurance manager showed us the invoice for over 0 that he paid to replace the two front tires in New Mexico. The paperwork indicates the tires he bought new last November had about 4,200 miles on them. Normally tires don't need replacing before 30,000 miles or more.During the trip home, Steve stopped at a tire shop in Irvin, Texas and asked that they check the back tires. That Dodge dealer replaced the rear tires and wrote on the invoice that those tires had broken cords. Steve made a call for action after he says Mavis, the shop where he bought the tires, denied his claim for a refund. ABC Action News asked Chris Brazzeal, the owner of Brazzeal Tire in Tampa, to examine the original tires that came off the pickup. Chris showed us bubbling and rubber separation on two of the tires. “That is a clear indication the tire is now coming apart,” said Brazzeal. We contacted both Mavis and the tire manufacturer Vee Rubber. “Mavis is committed to providing safe and high-quality services to our customers. We have been in contact with the customer regarding this issue and have reached out to the tire manufacturer on his behalf to facilitate a resolution,” the company wrote. After we got involved a representative from Vee Rubber flew to Tampa, examined the tires and admitted one of them was defective. Vee Rubber then offered to refund Steve about 0, the total he paid for the tires last year. This article was written by Jackie Callaway for WFTS. 2108

A sociology professor says all those images that pop up on social media showing Halloween candy with razor blades and drugs aren't really a legitimate concern. Joel Best at the University of Delaware has been looking into these reported incidents since the ‘80s. That was the decade when so many of these reports started getting attention. Best says since then, there have been zero cases of children dying from eating contaminated treats from Halloween. His report, 480
