(KGTV) - Nearly two and a half miles of the current border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border in Calexico are being replaced with 30-foot high, bollard-style walls.The section of the replacement, which broke ground last week, extends from the Calexico Port of Entry westward just past Gran Plaza Outlets, according to Customs and Border Protection officials. "Of course we're the communication link so the images that come in they get transmitted through our radio waves," Kevin Lynaugh, Founder of Vulcan Wireless, said.ASTERIA launched in 2017, "ASTERIA (Arcsecond Space Telescope Enabling Research in Astrophysics) is a technology demonstration and opportunistic science mission to conduct astrophysical measurements using a CubeSat." CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (KGTV) - Fire crews responded Thursday to a fire on Camp Pendleton near the Hotel training area, North County Fire reported. The so-called Weisgarber Fire scorched at least 120 acres one mile west of the DeLuz Gate by Thursday night, Cal Fire said. Crews were able to get the fire 40 percent contained by around 7 p.m. By 10 p.m., base officials said that crews stopped the fire's forward rate of spread.North County Fire officials said the flames posed no threat to Fallbrook or the surrounding area. As of 6:45 a.m. Friday, Cal Fire officials said the fire was 100 percent contained and was stopped at 120 acres burned.There is no word on the cause of the fire. 695
