JUPITER, Fla. - Misdemeanor prostitution charges were dropped Thursday against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and 24 other defendants linked to a spa sex sting in Jupiter.The charges stemmed from a police investigation at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter conducted in 2019.Jupiter police claimed Kraft visited the now-defunct spa twice in January 2019, including the morning of the AFC Championship game.Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg held a virtual news conference regarding the case.RELATED: How detectives gathered evidence inside Orchids of Asia day spa | Woman accused of performing sex act on Kraft arrestedThe investigation led to the arrests of several men and women, including misdemeanor charges against Kraft.Aronberg said charges were dropped against all 25 defendants accused of misdemeanor charges of soliciting prostitution."It is not a lack of will that caused us to drop the charges in the spa cases," Aronberg said.There are still pending felony charges against the owner and manager of the spa. "Despite the setback today, our office will continue our work to make our community safer by holding accountable those who engage in criminal activity including sex crimes." WPTV The Orchids of Asia Spa in Jupiter was raided in February 2019. The state attorney said he disagreed with the ruling that threw out the video evidence for all 25 defendants. "I stand behind the decision to file the cases."Aronberg said four other individuals, besides Kraft, were recorded and received legitimate non-sexual massages. Two of those four were women, and the court said that the police should have never recorded the women, and thus every other video must be discarded. The state attorney said they could not prove human trafficking without a reasonable doubt, but there was evidence of human trafficking "in the overall investigation." KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri Health Department is speaking out after it poured bleach on food intended to be given to homeless people.Nellie McCool, who helps run Free Hot Soup Kansas City, has been helping the homeless for years until Sunday."Officers and health inspectors demanded we destroy our food and we were violating health code violations by sharing meals with our friends," said McCool.The department said the group wasn't following the law about serving the homeless."They were notified back in a meeting in September that they needed to get a permit and they just outright said they refused to do that," said Dr. Rex Archer, director of health for KCMO.But McCool said she never heard from the department."That is incorrect," McCool said. "We never had any kind of government official ever come and speak with anybody at any of the public parks."According to the health department, the permit is free and all organizations that want to serve food to homeless people (or anyone) needs this permit. Archer said the food was also not being handled correctly and could put others at risk."Preparing food in all these individuals homes when people haven't been trained, prepare food safely. Then, they are taking it and transporting it in trunks of cars when its cool. It's supposed to be warm food but they have no insulation or a way to keep the food warm," Archer said. 1424

(KGTV) — An East County couple who lost their home in the Valley Fire is dreaming of a rebuild and a new, fireproof home.Earlier this month, Irving and Anita Beeman shot cellphone video of the imposing smoke plumes behind their home on West Boundary Truck Trail. It didn’t take long for the fast-moving flames of the Valley Fire to reach a nearby canyon."Just like a waterfall, it was a 'firefall' down the hill. Amazing and scary," said Irving.Anita left first. Irving got out soon after, after loading up a truck bed full of belongings. He took a photo showing his property, as it began burning."My house was there and then it turned orange. Then it was a yellow ball just slightly bigger than a house. I didn’t have the heart to look back, so I just drove away," said Irving.But there was no escaping the charred reality when the couple returned. Their home of 20 years, along with two vehicles, were destroyed by the fire."Defeated. You look at it and go, 'Where do we start?'" asked Anita.They’ve just started the cleanup process, expected to take months. Their home was insured, and the couple is already envisioning the rebuild and a fire-resistant home."I don’t ever want to see my house burn down again," said Irving.Irving has sketched out this drawing of a fire-resistant home."Half of it will be in a hillside on our property. JetBlue says it plans to increase the number of seats it will fill on planes starting in December. That makes JetBlue the latest airline to retreat from blocking middle seats to give passengers more space because of the pandemic. A JetBlue spokesman said Thursday that the airline still plans to limit seating through the holidays but hasn't decided how many seats to leave empty. A statement on their website reads: "JetBlue is currently blocking the vast majority of middle seats on larger planes (and most aisle seats on smaller ones) for all flights through 12/1/20. We’ll continue to block seats and limit the number of travelers on JetBlue flights through the holiday season, in order to provide additional space between those not traveling together while helping families and others who are traveling together to sit together where possible."Southwest plans to end blocking middle seats on Dec. 1. Delta and Alaska Airlines say they will limit capacity on flights through Jan. 6, but will end the policy early next year.
