Voters who are interested in getting their ballots in before Election Day can now do so at the San Diego County Registrar of Voters office.Early voting began on Monday, May 6 after the United States Postal Service sent out more than 1 million mail ballots. These ballots appeared in voters' mailboxes the very same day.Early voting continues through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and until the polls close on Election Day at 8 p.m.The Registrar of Voters Office is open for weekend voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating following a crash involving a military Humvee Thursday night.The crash happened on eastbound Interstate 8 just west of Dunbar Lane. Five vehicles were involved in the crash.As a result of the incident, traffic was backed up on the interstate for miles. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Downtown San Diego Partnership is relaunching a program to help businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.A new round of the organization's Downtown Loyalty program launches at noon on Tuesday. It allows people to buy discounted gift cards to some of downtown's most recognizable restaurants, coffee shops, retail, and services."It's a digital gift card sale," said Sarah Brothers, marketing and communications director for the Downtown San Diego Partnership. "So you're able to buy a gift card to your favorite downtown locations. And for every purchase, you get a free funded by philanthropy."It allows the customer to get more than what they paid for, and it's extra revenue for the business at the receiving end.The program is made possible through fundraising and donations.The first round of the Downtown Loyalty program's gift card sale sold out in four days when it launched in July. It provided nearly ,000 in direct revenue to struggling businesses in downtown San Diego. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The City of San Diego said Friday Lime Bike, Bird, Skip Scooters and Lyft had violated its terms of operation in regards to geofencing and other scooter operating restrictions. Geofencing forces riders to slow down to 8 miles per hour in busy areas “like Balboa Park and our boardwalks,” San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer wrote on Twitter. Bird had violations in nine different San Diego locations on July 13 and 14. Lyft and Lime Bike had violations in seven areas during that time, city officials said.
