POMONA (CNS) - Pomona police asked for the public's help Thursday evening in identifying an armed robbery suspect believed responsible for at least three recent gas station robberies and other attempted robberies in the city.During these robberies, the suspect walked into the businesses, pulled a weapon and demanded money from a cash register, then ran from the scene, according to the Pomona Police Department.The latest incident occurred Saturday and the suspect got into a fight with the victim and escaped with a large amount of money, police said. The attack was caught on surveillance video at the business, showing the suspect struggle with the victim, before the victim fights him off.The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 40 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and a mustache. He was going about the speed limit - 55 miles per hour - when he saw the headlights of an oncoming vehicle as it drove past him."All of a sudden my windshield explodes. Glass is flying. Glass flies in my face. Luckily, I had my glasses on," said Woodard.Woodard, a trucker by trade, maintained control. He was only feet from a cliff."It shocked me, like being slapped in the face," said Woodard.He pulled over when he could safely do so, and checked out the damage."The water was dripping down the middle of the glass," said Woodard.Water, as in a water balloon. "When I saw this my anger just went out the roof. I could have lost control.
