VALLEY CENTER (CNS) - A person was killed Tuesday evening in a head-on car crash in Valley Center, a small town east of Oceanside.A car apparently being driven the wrong way hit another vehicle head- on about 7 p.m. near Valley Center Road and Waaash Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.Fire crews were called to the scene to rescue a person trapped in one of the vehicles, according to the CHP. It was not immediately clear if the trapped person is the individual who was killed in the crash.Further information was not released. 551

The man, identified as Robert S, was playing the IGT Wheel of Fortune Ultra Wheels penny slot when he hit it big, according to the casino. “I’m still in shock. I couldn’t sleep for two days. I was up tossing and turning and thought they would call me and say the machine malfunctioned,” Robert said. A photo taken after the big win shows Robert standing next to the machine. TULSA -- More details are coming out about the woman who police in Oklahoma say brutally stabbed her 11-year-old daughter Monday night. Friends and family of Taheerah Ahmad said they are in complete shock that the mother could do something like this.Those close to Ahmad painted two different pictures of her. One picture is of a caring mother who loves her children in the public eye, and the other is an abusive, unstable mother inside of her home.“Whenever she would talk about her kids, everything was always positive. She never said anything crazy,” said a former coworker of Ahmad.The coworker, who didn’t want to go on camera with Scripps station KJRH in Tulsa, said she always seemed normal enough.“She would go out with us," the former coworker said. "She would have drinks with us. She just seems like a very nice person.”But as her coworkers got close to her, they said they noticed something was off and would start noticing little things about Ahmad. “I know she went by at least four different names,” a coworker said.Her coworker said whenever a shooting took the life of one of Ahmad's friends last year, Ahmad changed and became sad.Her coworker said she brought up her children all the time and always talked about them in positive ways.But neighbors said that’s just what Ahmad was telling her friends.RELATED: Suspect in Amber Alert, stabbing of daughter seen smiling after arrestMultiple neighbors, who also didn’t want to go on camera, said they often heard screaming from inside the home and said there was something eerie about the house.One neighbor even said several nights in the past week, he would see Ahmad performing what appeared to be rituals late at night around a fire.“I really don’t know if there’s any reasoning behind this, but I just hope whatever is wrong gets fixed,” the neighbor said. The mother is in jail on one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, two counts of child neglect and one count of arson.The 11-year-old’s condition is still critical.  2103

Two men who claim to be members of the Boogaloo Bois are facing federal charges for trying to help Hamas, a designated foreign terrorist organization.Boogaloo Bois and sub-groups are a loosely-connected group of people with violent anti-government stances; some members were seen at racial injustice demonstrations this summer wearing Hawaiian shirts and carrying long weapons. Many have a negative view of officers and government structure, advocating for the injury or death of police.Social media groups claiming to be part of the Boogaloo Bois movement have attracted attention this year and tens of thousands of members online, according to USA Today.Michael Solomon and Benjamin Teeter call themselves members of the group, and of a sub-group called Boojahideen, and were allegedly seen opening carrying firearms in residential neighborhoods in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd and the demonstrations that followed.According to the FBI’s investigation of Solomon and Teeter, they “possessed firearms and substantial quantities of ammunition and that Solomon, Teeter, and other members of the Boogaloo Bois and Boojahideen discussed committing acts of violence against police officers and other targets in furtherance of the Boojahideen’s stated goal of overthrowing the government and replacing its police forces.” 1343
