(KGTV) --The man accused of crashing into a car in Oceanside while under the influence, killing three people and injuring three others appeared in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing. Mason Fish is accused of driving under the influence during the February 5 crash. Oceanside Police say he ran a red light on South Coast Highway at Oceanside Boulevard and crashed his Toyota Tacoma into a Mazda, killing three woman and injuring three others. Petra Arango, 40, of Oceanside; Rufina Rodriguez, 74, of Fallbrook; and 56-year-old Eloina Arango, of Mexico, were identified as the victims. A 13-year-old girl, who neighbors and friends call Kelly, was ejected from the vehicle and seriously injured. Aquilino Arango Ojeda, 82, of Fallbrook; and 43-year-old Rey David Velasco Herrera, of Oceanside, were in the front seats of the vehicle and also seriously injured. He added, in regards to the crashes, that Fish "tapped" a car at a red light and was sideswiped.The judge Tuesday found that there is sufficient evidence to send the case to trial. He is due back in court August 20. According to the report, 58-year-old Raymond Petty Jr. had cocaine and marijuana in his system at the time of the crash. Initial reports indicated that Petty was the pilot, but the Oceanside Police Department said it was possible to fly the plane from either seat. The plane crashed into a hillside off State Route 76 near Canyon Drive in late January. Heavy fog in the area blanketed the crash site, preventing it from being spotted for several hours. On Tuesday, Casey Louviere was mowing her yard in Louisiana when she suddenly passed out from heat exhaustion."I started seeing stars, and suddenly everything was black," Louviere said.She says she thought she was fine, as she had been drinking water at the time."Just simply went outside to cut grass, it was so hot. You know, I was fine, then everything just turned black. The heat is not something to play with," Louviere explained.Officials with the Scott Fire Department say they responded to the call on Rue Bon Secours of a person unconscious in their front yard."SFD began assessing the patient and administering basic life support interventions. Acadian Ambulance medics arrived, and the patient was transported to a local hospital," a release states. But the firefighters didn't just help Louviere medically.The firefighters stayed with her children until a friend was able to come over. They also came back to finish mowing her lawn."Something like that brings tears to your eyes, knowing that there are still good people out there like that," she said. "They took time out of their day to cut my grass and they didn't have to do that.""We didn't have to do it. We didn't do it to get recognition by any means, but we wanted to bless her and bless her family. Her grass was high and we wanted to help her," Fire Captain Kris Gumpert said.However, Louviere says she did not know the job was finished until she saw it on Facebook."I'm working from home currently, so I didn't walk outside this morning. (KGTV) — A group of Oceanside teenagers fought off a man who attacked them on a bike trail Friday.The kids were walking on a bike path west of Fireside Park when the suspect called out to them, according to Oceanside police spokesman Tom Bussey. When the kids didn't respond, the suspect charged at them.The suspect pushed the kids to the ground and they rolled down an embankment, where the suspect continued attacking, Bussey said.The group fought back, one teen hitting the man with a stick to fight him off, before running to a house to call police.Police returned to the area and found the man after searching with canines and a drone. The man, identified as 55-year-old Sampson Marinanito. Police say Marinanito had a pair of metallic nunchucks he tried to toss away.Marinanito was taken into custody for child abuse, and possession of nunchucks and narcotics. 892
