(KGTV) - The newest show at the La Jolla Playhouse is giving audiences a modern take on a classic tale."Fly," tells the story of Peter Pan, but it puts the focus squarely on Wendy, showing her journey from Lost Girl to a young woman."A lot of times we have your typical ingenue Wendy where a lot of the events of Neverland happen to her," explains actress Storm Lever, who plays Wendy. "In this one, you really get to watch her find her voice and find her power and own her voice and own her power."The actor says the show is perfect for its time, after the rise of the #MeToo movement, the women's march and other female empowerment platforms."Our thesis is that growing up is good," says Isabelle McCalla, who plays Tinkerbell. LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — Pasco County, Florida Sheriff's Office is investigating in incident where a Sunlake High School Resource Officer slammed a student during an arrest.PCSO says that the incident occurred Tuesday when the school administration requested the school resource officer, Rich Stackon, remove a student from the cafeteria.Leading up to the incident, school administrators asked the student to return to class several times before the SRO was called in. The student was reportedly skipping class and being disruptive.According to deputies, when the male SRO attempted to place the female student in custody she resisted arrest.In a video, recorded by another student, the SRO can be seen slamming the student to the ground after resisting. 784

Ladies, having your dog sleep with you could be the key to a great night's sleep, and that's according to science.The experiment titled, "An Examination of Adult Women's Sleep Quality and Sleep Routines in Relation to Pet Ownership and Bedsharing," studied 962 American women to see how pet ownership impacted their slumber.Fifty-five percent of the woman participating in the study let at least one of their dogs sleep in their bed, 31 percent of the women shared their bed with a cat.Research shows that while cats and human partners were "disruptive," dogs were peaceful bed companions.
