CHICAGO — A special prosecutor in Chicago says Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and her office abused their discretion in the case against actor Jussie Smollett but did nothing criminal. In a statement on the conclusions of his investigation, special prosecutor Dan Webb sharply criticized the handling of the Smollett case by Foxx and her assistant prosecutors, saying their handling was marked by disarray and misleading statements.In his conclusion, Webb wrote that the investigation “did not develop evidence that would support any criminal charges against State’s Attorney Foxx or any individual working at (her office)” but “did develop evidence that establishes substantial abuses of discretion and operational failures”In March last year, Foxx’s office surprised and angered many in Chicago by dropping charges that accused the former “Empire” actor of staging a racist, homophobic attack against himself. BURBANK (CNS) - The Walt Disney Co. reported sharp year-over-year third-quarter revenue drops today, thanks in part to the coronavirus-prompted closure of its theme parks, but the success of its streaming services, most notably Disney+, gave the Burbank company a needed boost.Disney reported third-quarter revenue of .8 billion, a 42% drop from last year's third quarter, but still ahead of industry expectations.Revenue losses were fueled largely by the closure of Disney parks worldwide, with the company's Parks, Experiences and Products segment seeing an 85% revenue drop from the third quarter of last year. Chad Daybell, the husband of a woman whose children have been missing since September, appeared in court on Wednesday after two sets of human remains were found on his property.During Wednesday's court appearance, prosecutor Rob Wood said the remains were those of 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan, both of whom have been missing since September.Kay Woodcock, JJ's grandmother, also confirmed to East Idaho News that one set of the remains are those of her grandson's.Police have not yet publicly confirmed the identity of the remains.Daybell faces two counts of evidence destruction, alteration or concealment. His bail was set at million. Should Daybell make bail, he will be required to stay in certain parts of Idaho and will wear an ankle monitor. He also cannot have contact with the families of the victims. Daybell was arrested Tuesday shortly after police served a search warrant on his home in Idaho. Two criminal complaints allege Daybell willfully concealed or aided and abetted in the willful concealment of human remains, "knowing that said human remains were about to be produced, used and/or discovered as evidence in a felony proceeding, inquiry and/or investigation authorized by law, with the intent to prevent it from being so produced, used and/or discovered."Daybell is married to Lori Vallow, the mother of JJ and Tylee. She was arrested in Hawaii in connection with her children's disappearance on Feb. 20 and was extradited back to Idaho. She remained jailed despite several attempts to lower her bond.JJ and Tylee went missing in September, shortly after Daybell and Vallow married. Daybell's former wife, Tammy, died of what was believed to be natural causes shortly before Daybell and Vallow married. CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Two siblings, one brother and one sister, had their children at Cape Coral Hospital on the same day, within hours of one another.Kenia Pozo and her older brother Marcus had a daughter and a son on May 14th.Pozo and her brother's girlfriend Katery Lara, gave birth after two subsequent cesarean sections. Pozo was scheduled to have hers first and give birth to a girl, Michaela Rose, just before 8 a.m. Lara gave birth to a boy, Kaiser Alexis, just after 11 a.m. the same day.The two women say they grew especially close during their pregnancies. Initially, Lara was due on May 26th and Pozo was due May 27th. Both women initially thought that they would give birth at least a day apart from one another. Pozo and Lara, who both have the same doctor, discovered they were going to deliver on the same day after scheduling their surgeries. The women said they were happy to have gone through the experience together and they hope their children will share a special bond because of how they came into the world.  1093

CAMP PENDLETON (KGTV) - Camp Pendleton marines preparing to deploy are leaving behind a piece of themselves for their children.Thanks to the American Red Cross Hug-a-Hero program the kids will have a doll of their parents to provide comfort during the long months. The dolls have a special message and a pocket for an audio recording. The Red Cross says the program is possible thanks to community donations. They've already provided 1,000 dolls to children this year.  487
