AGOURA, California — The movie set ranch featured in the HBO television series “Westworld” and almost 500 other productions was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire, Santa Monica Mountains park rangers tweeted Friday.The piece of Hollywood history, known as “Western Town” at Paramount Ranch, was located in Agoura. With its rolling hills and canyons, it was used to create an Old West look for film and television shoots.Paramount Studios bought the 2,700 acre ranch in the golden era of Hollywood. (KGTV) -- A local animal sanctuary is mourning the loss of Shadow the leopard.Shadow first came to Lions Tigers & Bears in Alpine four years ago after being rescued from a defunct animal sanctuary in South Dakota.Unfortunately, Shadow was plagued with health issues, including skin disease and leaky heart valves.The leopard’s health continued to deteriorate this year, and Lions Tigers & Bears officials decided to put Shadow down this weekend.Shadow is the second big cat the Alpine sanctuary has lost in two weeks; on Oct. 26, a tiger killed another when they were accidentally brought into close contact with one another. 656

Amazing, up-close video shows a tour guide's GoPro camera becoming engulfed in a Hawaii lava flow.Erik Storm said it happened by accident while he was guiding a tour in Kalapana in August 2016.Storm said he used a rock hammer to extract the camera after the lava began to cool and harden.He thought it had surely been destroyed, but was amazed to see the blue Wi-Fi light still blinking.
