(KGTV) - A 5-year-old boy who was reported missing in Los Angeles Saturday night was found safe in San Diego.Police put out an alert Sunday for the public to help find Lorenzo Capriccio. He was reported missing by his mother Saturday evening after he was last seen at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.The boy’s mother told police she thought Lorenzo might be in the San Diego area with a family member.Police said Monday afternoon that Lorenzo was found in San Diego County in good condition with a legal guardian.The circumstances that led to Lorenzo's disappearance were not immediately released. 611

Now, they're offering ,000 to whoever helps nab the suspects.Over the last three months, Bureau of Land Management officials have found the bodies of 42 donkeys covered in gunshot wounds near the California-Nevada border. They were killed illegally in the Clark Mountain Herd Area."We will pursue every lead until we've arrested and prosecuted those responsible for these cruel, savage deaths, and we welcome the public's help to bring the perpetrator or perpetrators to justice," BLM deputy director for policy and programs William Perry Pendley said.Under the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act, burros are protected as "living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West." (KGTV) -- A small plane was forced to land on a freeway in San Clemente Monday, but no injuries were reported and no vehicles were hit.According to the California Highway Patrol, the emergency landing was reported shortly before 12:50 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near Basilone Road, north of Camp Pendleton.CHP officials said the pilot was flying from John Wayne Airport in Orange County to San Diego’s Montgomery Field when his plane began having mechanical issues while over Camp Pendleton.The pilot, who has 18 years of flying experience, was aware he needed to land immediately and considered Highway 101 [Old Pacific Highway parallel to I-5] as an emergency landing spot before choosing I-5, according to the CHP.The pilot was able to wait for a break in vehicles before guiding the aircraft safely onto the freeway. The plane landed and came to a stop on the No. 4 lane before it was eventually moved to the right shoulder.The aircraft remained on the shoulder and off the freeway lanes as of 2:20 p.m.The pilot, who was the aircraft's only occupant, was unhurt, an FAA official told ABC 10News. (CNN) -- The White House and Capitol Hill is considering a phone app connected to the National Instant Criminal Background Checks (NICS) as one of the options in their discussions for plans to reduce gun violence, according to a Senate source and a person familiar with the talks.The proposed app would be used for background checks using private sales, and not for purchases involving commercial dealers, one of the sources told CNN. The Washington Post first reported on the app.White House aides have spent the last month meeting with congressional staffers and devising a package of legislative measures in the wake of recent mass shootings.
