Although, after months of a pandemic and stay-at-home orders, we could all use some space.More than 60 percent would be willing to give up coffee for a month instead of their phone, and 72 percent would rather give up wine for a month.OK, sure, but what about enduring sometimes annoying or awkward situations. About 44 percent would rather serve five days of jury duty than be without their device for five days. And 47 percent would rather stay with their in-laws for a month, than give up their smartphone for a month.The survey was conducted by SimpleTexting, looking at results from 1,000 smartphone users across the country.On the brightside, these are just hypothetical, and there does not appear to be any effort to take away smartphones. INDIANAPOLIS -- During this cold and flu season, dentists want you to take extra steps when giving cold and cough medicine to your children.Dentists at Indiana University Health report many of the liquid medications are chock full of sugars, which end up coating teeth.More than 400 of these medicines cause dry mouth, which means they're harder to dilute with saliva.IU Health Dental Surgeon LaQuia Vinson said there are ways to keep your kid’s teeth clean and healthy, “A dry mouth increases the risk of dental decay. It's important when children are taking these medications, that they at least rinse especially right after using them, but stay hydrated as well."Dr. Vinson also recommends if you’re not brushing your child’s teeth in the case that they are under the age of one, use a safe washcloth and water to wipe the teeth.  856

INDIANAPOLIS -- The two men accused of shooting and killing a 1-year-old were at home playing video games at the time, the mother of one of the suspects said Wednesday morning.Darrin Banks, 27, and Brian Palmer, 29, have been charged with shooting and killing 1-year-old Malaysia Robson on March 30. "I want the detectives, I want whoever, to pull up Microsoft and see where they have logged in," Renee Sloan, Palmer's mother,  said. "You have dinged these men as murderers. You have put a tag on them as murderers, and they're not murderers."Robson was killed when gunfire struck her home on the 3500 block of Wittfield Avenue. Police have said it began as a dispute on social media. Someone then drove to the home and opened fire at around 2 a.m. Banks and Palmer face preliminary charges of murder and aggravated assault. "The whole community is talking about Darrin Banks and Brian Palmer," Sloan said. "Those are their names. They're not murderers. They're human beings and they have names. They did not do this. That is not in their demeanor. That is not how they work. That is not what they do. I want to have a voice for them. Everyone else has a voice but those two. I want people to know what type of people they are."The weekend after Robson was killed, the 1-year-old's grandmother helped organize a call for unity in the community and a march to reduce gun violence.For Robson's grandmother, it was a way to remember her grandchild and push for change so no family ever has to go through the same loss."For anyone with kids - go home and love your kids like never before," she said. Malaysia Robson is the youngest victim of a fatal shooting in Indianapolis since 2013. But one day, he noticed he was running on empty. So he pulled over to the Citgo in Indianapolis. With more than 16 gallons of fuel, he was good -- for about a mile. "After I put the gas in the car, all the lights on the dash went on and the car started to shutter," Schwartz said. He took his 2005 Lexus to be checked out. A techncian took a gasoline sample and noted "mostly water found inside the gas tank. Drained out bad fuel."The .50 he first spent at the gas pump led to a repair bill of 0. "I went to the owner several times and admitted there was a gas contamination problem and he told me would make an insurance claim and have them contact me the following day."But the call from the insurance company never came. In the congressional debate over gun control, all eyes are on the Cabinet Room in the White House for a Wednesday afternoon meeting.As House Republicans made clear, any and all gun restrictions were off the table, and senators still grappled with what, if any, path forward they had.
