You’ve probably seen them on your social media feed – those crazy cheap flight deals, some as low as .99. Those deals often seem too good to be true, so what’s the catch? Skyler McKinley with AAA says airlines offer cheap flights for various reasons. It might to fill seats that aren’t booked, or it could be to compete with other airlines. “Airlines aren't going to be in the business in losing money,” said McKinley. “With them offering these very cheap seats, it's not because they love you so much, it’s because it’s in their economic interest to offer these reduce seats.”Despite why they do it, McKinley says these deals can be worth it for some fliers. If you are flexible, these deals are for you."Typically, you will see blackout dates like you can't fly surrounding Christmas. You can't fly on Friday. You can't fly on Saturday. You have to fly on Tuesday,” said McKinley. “All of those restrictions are in place because airlines are able to fill those high in demand flights on their own. You’re getting this deal because it's a less desirable leg.”Other restrictions might be on how many bags you’re allowed to take, and the baggage fee may be high to make up for the low-cost ticket. For example, we found a Spirit Airlines deal page that offers a one-way ticket for , but you had to forgo bags and you weren’t able to pick the seat of your liking. However, there are ways to use these offers to your advantage."If I bundle it, I get to do what we typically think when we book a flight,” McKinley. “I get to pick my seat, bring some luggage on and that adds per person per way. All the airlines have a deal page, so if you have a preferred airline, you can find a deal."These deals can be a little restrictive, but you can sign up for notifications for flight deals from your airport in case it fits your next trip.Ultimately, yes, these deals will save you money, but not as much as advertised. "Don't be disappointed when a deal that said , , , ends up being twice that or more by the time you enter in your credit card details and pay."Another way you can save and get better deals is by booking one-way tickets. When you book round-trip, typically bundling flights can cost more because you are limiting your flight route and airline. 2284
"We are aware of the unfortunate incident that took place at one of our restaurants last night. We, like you, were upset and disappointed and took immediate action. The employee has been terminated. What occurred does not reflect the values of our brand, our franchise, or the love and admiration we have demonstrated consistently for our friends in law enforcement and first responders. We have reached out to offer our sincerest apology." 448

It`s the one thing you don`t think will ever happen.A Cumberland County, Pennsylvania couple who wishes to remain anonymous went to the new Gilligan's location on Carslile Pike, only to come back home with the wrong Members First debit card."It was just crazy busy, and we went to pay, it took a little bit but we were understanding, we left not thinking anything of it," added receiver of wrong card. She says in the days following, she and her husband tried to use what they thought was their card for purchases, but it only worked once or twice before it started to decline."We kept putting the pin in and I was like I know my pin, I use it all the time, why isn`t this working?! And it just never dawned one me to check the name just because it looked like my card. Before it declined it, we were able to pump gas with this card," she added. That`s when she and her husband realized something was wrong."We looked down at the card and saw that it wasn`t our name on the card, same bank, same color card, same everything, just not our name," said receiver of wrong card.So they traced their steps back and found out Gilligan's Carlisle pike had their card and luckily, it had not been charged. But what about the money they accidentally charged on the other person's card? We`re trying to make it right and just pay that back the guy because it wasn`t our card, it`s not right," she said.Al Pioppo at the Members First headquarters in Cumberland County says they are doing the right thing."That`s fantastic that they did go the extra step and it makes our job a lot easier, we don`t have to file a dispute for the member and if we can make the other member whole that`s fantastic," said Al Pioppo, Vice President of card services at Members First. He says situations like these happen more often than not."Not everybody`s honest," said Pioppo. And there are things to keep in mind if it happens to you.First, call your bank."We can check into the account, we`ll notify the member and then we can shut down the card immediately so that it can`t be used by anybody," he added."I think it`s so important to be honest. It was an honest mistake and just to be upright, it`s the right thing to do," said receiver of wrong card. 2237
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Challenger Middle School teacher Christopher Kelly is the SDCCU classroom hero. Kelly is a fresh face in the teaching world with only four years on the job, but is already making a tremendous impact in his students' lives. Kelly uses a mix of positive reinforcement and entertainment to keep his students engaged in their eighth-grade math class and eager to learn. "I do talk like a talk show host," Christopher Kelly said. "I think it's kinda fun, and I think it keeps them more engaged that way they pay attention more." Kelly became a teacher to create a positive and secure space for kids to learn and grow. "I think that everybody in this world that has been successful has had somebody help them along the way," Kelly said. "I just want to be able to help some people who maybe haven't had that yet." Kelly's attentiveness toward his students is one of the reasons eighth-grader Olivia Toledo wanted to recognize him for his hard work. "When I need help, I know that I can go to him, and he will help me until I get it," Toledo said." He keeps us engaged by telling us to just keep going and never give up." His students and staff say Kelly is a teacher who is making a difference in his students' lives. "When you get recognized in a big way like this, it feels really good; it makes you feel really special," Kelly said. Teachers, student's, parents, and the community are encouraged to nominate a deserving teacher online. 1468
