The image and description for the film have been updated in Netflix.The poster sparked outrage online, and with some comparing the poster to pedophilia. In the days following the release of the artwork, thousands had signed a Change.org petition calling for the film to be removed from Netflix. The film is now available on the service.Doucouré said the film is based in part on her own childhood experiences, and those of girls growing up today.“This is most of all an uncompromising portrait of an 11-year-old girl plunged in a world that imposes a series of dictates on her.” She said in an interview with Cineuropa.She continued that it is important to not judge these girls, but to understand them, listen to them and give them a voice. 2458

The World Series and NLCS will be open to fans. According to MLB, 11,500 fans will be allowed into Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.The ALCS, held in California this year, will not have fans in the stadium, as of now.With 11,500 fans in the stadium, Globe Life Field will be roughly 25% full. The NLCS will mark the first time fans will be permitted into an MLB playoff or regular season game this year.MLB said the following protocols will be enacted:· Tickets in the seating bowl will be sold in groups of four contiguous seats, called pods. Individuals may purchase a limit of one pod per NLCS and World Series game.· Seats within each pod cannot be broken apart for sale.· Each pod will be a minimum of six feet from each other.· No seats will be sold within 20 feet of where a player can be located on the field, in the dugouts or in the bullpen.· Masks will be mandatory for all fans except when actively eating or drinking at their ticketed seats.· Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the ballpark.· No bags will be permitted except for those that are carried for medical reasons or manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants and young children.Tickets go on sale October 6. 1216

The White House has once again lowered the American flag to half-staff, after the flag was left at its full height for most of the day on Monday.In a statement released at about 4 p.m. ET, President Trump ordered flags be flown at half-staff until Sunday, the day of McCain's internment at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. The Trump administration faced criticism from politicians across party lines for choosing to fly the flag at full-staff while the rest of the federal government continued to honor Senator John McCain by keeping the flag low. Ohio Gov. John Kasich called the decision to keep the flags flying high "shameful."While protocol calls for the flag to be flown at half-staff the day and the day after a member of Congress dies, recent tradition has kept the flag at half-staff until sunset on the day of member's interment.   868

The White House, after a day of uncertainty, confirmed Wednesday that deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel is leaving her position.She will remain in the administration.In a statement, press secretary Sarah Sanders said, "Mira Ricardel will continue to support the President as she departs the White House to transition to a new role within the Administration. The President is grateful for Ms. Ricardel's continued service to the American people and her steadfast pursuit of his national security priorities."Sources said the President told advisers Tuesday that he had decided to fire her.The decision comes a day after first lady Melania Trump's office issued a surprising statement calling for Ricardel to leave the White House. 750

The State of Utah sent face masks showing a handgun and controversial political image to a Salt Lake City family.The free masks are part of the “A Mask For Every Utahn” campaign, where federal COVID-19 money purchased more than two million masks to stop the spread of the virus.“I was just shocked,” said Chrstine Passey-Spencer outside her Rose Park home.Two masks delivered to the family show an American flag with a handgun printed across them with “Don't Tread on Me” written below a coiled rattlesnake.“I think the thing that bothered me most is that I knew my tax dollars paid for this and this is very politically charged speech,” Passey-Spencer said.The “Don't Tread on Me” image stems from the Revolutionary War but has become controversial in recent years. The Gadsden Flag has been used by the Tea Party, anti-gun control activists and white supremacists.In 2016, it was deemed to have “racially-tinged” messaging in some contexts by the federal government.More recently, the image has been used by people believing COVID-19 health restrictions take away their constitutional rights.“We hope this is an isolated incident that we just missed these couple of masks,” said Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s Ben Hart, who oversees the state’s mask program.Since April, the state purchased millions of masks from local and international manufacturers.Hart admits about 100 of the “Don't Tread on Me” masks were included in a shipment last month. Hart says the staff deemed them “inappropriate” and attempted to set all of them aside.“We will not be using taxpayer dollars to pay for these masks.
