"So everybody will be susceptible to that, there will be ambiguous photographs that police officers will have to look at and decide whether to issue a ticket."AAA also brings up a concern over children in the car being photographed and adds there may also be problems surrounding artificial intelligence. With these cameras, it's up to the computer to decipher if a driver is using their phone and that could lead to problems in places where phones are allowed to be used for GPS purposes but not texting or phone calls.AAA says there are other options. They suggest that places like Maryland stick to enforcement that has been successful in the past."But people, when they are distracted, it's as easy to discern as a person who's driving impaired because they have the same type of driving behavior," says John Townsend with AAA. "And when it comes to distracted driving, the person's eyes are not on the roadway. You can easily detect that."As for the county in Maryland, the council will begin debating the use of cameras in January and, if passed, it'll be the first program of its kind in the United States. 1837

The maker of Miller Lite and Coors Light doesn't see the funny side of Bud Light's corn syrup Super Bowl ads.MillerCoors filed suit against Anheuser-Busch, the brewer of Bud Light, over the commercials, which it says are "false and misleading." It wants them blocked and its rival to set the record straight.Bud Light's ads during Super Bowl LIII touted the fact that the beer is sweetened with rice rather than corn syrup. And they took jabs at its competitors.In the first ad, the Bud Light King, Bud Knight and others are trying to figure out what to do with a corn syrup barrel that was delivered to them by mistake. They set out to the Miller Lite castle to see if the barrel belongs there, but the castle had already received its delivery of corn syrup. Finally, they make it to the Coors Light castle whose occupants have been looking for their corn syrup barrel.MillerCoors said in Thursday's lawsuit that Anheuser-Busch "plotted an extensive and pervasive advertising scheme designed to frighten consumers into switching away from Miller Lite and Coors Light to Bud Light." It accused Anheuser-Busch of using corn syrup as a fermentation aid in drinks such as Stella Artois Cidre and Bud Ice.MillerCoors said it never uses high fructose corn syrup, which it says is different from corn syrup. The House of Representatives voted by 230-195 on Tuesday to approve .5 billion in aid for the growing crisis at the US southern border -- a vote that followed Democratic infighting over the package and a White House veto threat.House Democratic leaders had worked to quell a progressive rebellion and secured passage after making several updates to the measure in response to concerns within the caucus, but the White House has already said it "strongly opposes" the legislation and it is not clear whether the House and Senate will be able to reach an agreement the President will sign off on.The Senate has a bipartisan bill that would allocate .59 billion for the border crisis and advanced out of the Senate Appropriations Committee on a 30-1 vote last week. But the proposal has significant differences with the House bill, adding to the uncertainty over whether a deal can be reached.The progressive pushback against the bill was an unexpected wrinkle in the race to get the legislation passed and signed into law before a key agency -- the Office of Refugee Resettlement -- runs out of money at the end of the month.That's not the only agency in desperate need of funding to stem the crisis at the border.
